FRYE Women's Belted Harness Mule

The fit is slightly odd. Narrow in the toe and wider in the back. The back strap has little utility because the belt really can't tighten the strap against the heel. Others have commented that the shoe is 1/2 size too large and others have described true to size. Given the weight of this shoe which feels like the weight of a boot, I suspect the intent was to wear thick/boot socks with this shoe. You can buy your usual size if you wear thick socks, go down 1/2 size if you want to wear stockings or bare feet. Haven't walked far in these shoes but they feel reasonably comfortable, not too high of a heel, for shoes that are definitely all about style.

I purchased these clogs to upgrade from my Dansko Clogs for work. The craftmanship is the quality you expect from Frye, very nice. Unfortunately with these, the narrow toe pinched and my feet are narrow to begin with, they were far to heavy and did not feel like they would stay on my foot. When I say heavy, I am used to the heaviness of my Danskos and these far surpassed the weight of my Danskos. Way to much for me. I have boots by Frye that I am absolutely in love with so I was really looking forward to these. These did not have the same feel, I have high arches and these just did not provide the support that I need for my long work days. I spend my entire time on my feet and these just were not going to cut it. I'm very sad these didn't work out, but I still love Frye and will continue to purchase their boots.

Note this shoe runs a 1/2 size large. I'm normally an 8.5 but in this shoe wear an 8. If you prefer to wear thick socks with your mules, you may consider ordering your normal size. There's nothing to tie, lace, pull or zip up, just slip it on and go. The heel adds a bit of height, the neoprene sole adds grip and traction, and of course it comes with the high quality & craftsmanship that Frye is known for. With normal wear & tear, this mule will last forever and the chestnut color is gorgeous, it goes with everything. Viola, the perfect shoe. If you can find it on sale, you've hit the jackpot.

the boots were beautiful but too large. i wear a 9 - 91/2 but the 9 1/2 was too large. i wanted to exchange them for a 9 but was only given the option of a return. I went back on line to order again but the price went from $180 to $259. guess i will have to wait now and hope they go back down.

These fit a little big, so I put some inserts into them and they fit better. I would have exchanged them for a size smaller but they didn't have any available. I just love the style - can't find in any other brand! They are very heavy duty and well made - have the old fashioned sole that you can get re-soled if you need to. They look great with skinny jeans and also work great for motorcycle riding. I think they will last for many years.

Took advantage of the sale price of this Frye clog, but did not order my correct size based on the size reviews here. Beautiful clog, love the harness look. Because I ordered 1/2 size larger, thinking they ran small, the shoe is enormous on my foot, so I will have to return. The shoe is very heavy but if it fits correctly, I'm sure that would not be an issue. I'm sorry to have to return and they don't have the same price in the size I need to order.

Stylish and beautifully made leather mule. Sadly I had to return because sizing was not quite right. The 7.5 was a bit too small while the 8.0 was a bit too large

I have a size 7 pair of Frye Harness boots and I love them, so I purchased this shoe in the same size. These mules are great, but very heavy. Will most likely need some time to break in and that should adjust the slightly small size issue. I'm very happy with my purchase, the leather and workmanship are just awesome.
