Have two of these holding my tool box closed with rivets and they’re holding up great Didn’t want bulky latches that’ll catch on to things And these are small slim and perfect

The latch is the correct size for my need, but there were no screws supplied. That caused me to lower the rating to 3 stars. If they had been included, it would have been MUCH more convenient to get these installed, and I'd have given 5 stars. Also, it would have been nice if a quantity of less than 10 were available for purchase (perhaps 2 or 4 latches).

They are very small, but perfect for a small metal box. The spring version is more secure. Hole placement is critical to function, so double check measurements before drilling. I used #4-36 machine screws to secure them. The latches are designed for a maximum #5 machine screw.

Used these to replace the broken plastic latched on plastic tool cases. Would have expected the predrilled holes to accept a pop rivets, but they needed drilled out to accept

See pic. These dimensions gave a nice snap to the toggle. (Spring Loaded version of latch, not sure about the non spring loaded) These latches work pretty well for a small light duty application.

Once I figured out how to align the two sections, installing them was a breeze. They grip tight and work very well. They also add a nice heavy duty look to a small tool box.

Product is small like needed, but sending no screws with it - is kind of senseless. It requires you to try and find really tiny screws. Hopefully we can find them somewhere else. If we had realized there was no screws we wouldn't have ordered.

The purpose for getting these latches was to repair a plastic Craftsman ratchet set case whose plastic locking tabs had broken off. The spring loaded latches are small enough to where they fit on the lid, but are just about an eigth of an inch or so too long to fit on the small bottom tab to where both screw holes would allow a firm attachment point. However, the latches themselves are adequately well made for the price - 10 latches are in the pak. I used rivets since the plastic tool case material is too thin for screws. However, plastic is too soft to allow rivets to hold, so the latches did not work well enough for my purpose - not the fault of the latch! The three star rating is only due to my application, not to the product alone.
