TEMCo TH0037 4" Hydraulic Knockout Punch Electrical Conduit Hole Cutter Set KO Tool Kit 5 Year Warranty

Before I purchased this product, I read all the reviews, and reached out to TEMCo directly, with my concerns, before making my purchase. TEMCo was quick to respond and address any concerns I had; i.e. draw stud construction, case sturdiness, seal leaks... There were no excuses given. Just assurances the issues had been corrected. Satisfied with their responses, I purchased this set. What I received exceeded my expectations. I have used Greenlee knockouts in the past, and this unit is right on par, with quality. The case is designed well and very sturdy. The hydraulic unit, hose and ram are very sturdy. The draw studs and cutters are substantial as well. I have used the 3.5" knockout on 14ga galvanized steel. After 8 holes, the knockout is producing holes as clean as the first one. This is a High Quality tool, at a Great Price!!

So, first off, I only paid $384.00 for mine a couple years ago. I work for local electrical contractor who believes in, you get what you pay for, so they buy a specific brand. Other electrical contractors will know which brand I am referring to but it costs $1,800.00 dollars and rhymes with don't buy Greenlee!!! I bought this thing as a test because it had good reviews and I've always kinda wanted one of my own! I immediately brought it to work and my whole company has been using this thing ever since getting passed from truck to truck and so far has held up to the abuse of others who DIDN'T PAY FOR IT THEMSELVES. Well, needless to say, my boss has purchased 4 more of these kits. One to replace my loner, that my whole company is still using... And I got a brand new one sitting in my garage!!! Worth the money is an understatement, more like best purchase ever!!

Works amazing, best kit I’ve used so far.

First of all, I’d like to say I absolutely love a knockout set. We use it weekly on a professional basis and I’m going to buy two more. It works better than our name brand KO punches and all of the dyes and thread are universal with name brand manufacturers. The latches on the case broke due to improper loading in our truck reached out to the company immediately got back to us and sent us replacements. They’re awesome.

Tool itself seems ok, however on my first hole (4”) the draw bar broke. First it bent then broke on the second hole... no big deal they have a 5 year warranty right. Apparently not. I contacted the company without even a reply. Warranty is a lie. After only a month they forgot about me, a customer with the ability to write a review. Bad move. Tool is now useless. Update: after some back and forth with Temco i received a replacement draw stud. Only after i sent them a picture of the hole i punched when it broke, described the metal i was punching out and also explained my experience using these types off tools. I also had to contact amazon directly since i wasn't getting a response from them. In the end they stood behind their product, seems like they were more concerned about my review then my satisfaction with the tool. the draw bar was delivered extremely quickly and the tool is back in working order. I do believe that it might have been a defective part that broke in the first place, the tool seems to be a well made quality tool. My original review was one star but since they made things right i give it 4 starts for good quality at a great value. I would purchase more of their products for sure.

I had a job where I had 7 stainless steel cabinets that I had to cut 3" and 2" holes in each one. It was in a casino that was open for business so using a hole saw would be very loud and messy. I decided to buy this knockout set so that I only had to drill a small hole to get the 1/2" post through. On my very first attempt I "guessed" at the location to start my first hole. Once I used the 1/2" ko to make a hole that the 3" could use I set it up with out looking at "exactly" where I was cutting. Half way through I realized that at the bottom of the cabinet there was a lip that caused it to be two layers of s.s. causing my KO to lock up, couldn't get it through and couldn't get it to release. My 3" was destroyed. Thank God I had a 3 1/2" in the kit and did the rest of the job. I contacted TEMCo and explained what I did wrong and asked if I could just buy the parts I ruined. I had amazing customer service and they ended up sending me a replacement 3" KO!!! What an awesome company to warranty a product that I ruined because of lack of preparation. My kit is whole again and I use this where ever I can, best purchase of the year!!!

Ok after 6 years I'm finally leaving a review, this knockout set is made of good quality, I've had to punch 4" holes in 1/8 metal junction boxes and where the name brand knockout sets Green and Mille. Couldn't do it Temco came through, I'm happy to have purchased this 6 years ago, the price has gone up and it is justified through the quality, the only it's not built for is not smart people to be nice but has survived a few of them.

If you are working in the marine field and dealing with a lot of NEMA 4X and NEMA 12 enclosures...this thing is the best money you will spend all year. It has greatly increased the productivity and proffesional appearance of the holes in these enclosures. SO MUCH BETTER than a hole saw, and way more economical than a battery powered set. It is very fast, the plug buster has broken every single plug thus far, making material removal super easy. The only down side to this unit is the weight of the power head... if you have to work overhead, you better eat your Wheaties cause this thing will wear you out if you have 14 holes to poke. Other than that, I love this tool.

Very good quality product, but the shaft broke in second use.

A game changer when you are punching 15/20 2 1/2" holes per day. Only beef is that it is very heavy to cart around. Glad I have an apprentice.

Absolutely worth the money Make sure to use the proper spacers. We wrecked a puller and a 3" by not following the directions and the company replaced for free. This is a company that needs more attention. Great group of people.

The head is much too big and will not be any use to me in the small areas I need it to fur

Haven't had a chance to use the tool yet, pretty chuffed that the case was broken when I took it out of the box. One clasp isn't enough to secure it closed and the dies fall out whenever I need to move it. Update: annnnd it broke. It worked well for awhile, I suppose for the money I can't complain but it broke today, ruined the tub of the panel and both the 3 inch and 2 inch cutters jammed themselves together.
