I had a large piece of Visser wall art that needed to be hung, it’s a large piece 50x62 probably weighs about 150lbs & this hook worked perfect although it was nailed into a stud for extra protection! Highly recommend.

To hang heavy painting on drywall, you just pound in the SIX long nails into the holes that are angled. Much easier than screwing in drywall anchors, (difficult and painful on the hand and shoulder) and so far at least is very secure.

All those drywall nails (more than any hanger I have ever seen in a hardware store) made me feel secure about hanging a heavy mirror in drywall without a stud to anchor to.

Finally got a solution for very heavy items such as mirrors in a case of relatively weak walls. It can be equally a good solution for large paintings with heavy frames (or/and glass if it’s a watercolor). I used to apply “three-nail” hooks but this one is much, much stronger (although relatively expensive).

I used two of these hangers (one on each side) of a large, round, and heavy mirror in my dining room. I've used these hooks in other houses and when you remove them, it is easy to patch the small holes that remain. Most hangers for 150+lbs. leave large holes in the drywall if you have to move the mirror later on. They are more expensive than most hooks but I think they are of really good quality metal and worth the price. Hillman makes quality products in my experience.
