Camco 42593 Awning Anchor Kit with Pull Tension Strap

Can’t give it a full 5 stars. The straps are thin and the clamp doesn’t secure tight so it easily becomes lose. All the other parts are great but going to change out the straps

The clips are thin metal, not strong at all. The straps we gave up and used a bungee (won last, cheap)and a tie down strap with good big hooks and crank.The price of $20 is good for the nice tie down anchors. We will use the straps elsewhere.

Use these to tie my awning down in Florida. They are well made and the locking mechanism is very sturdy. The only reason I needed to replace the last set I bought was the sun in SW Florida was hard on the straps after 5 years.

I love these straps. So quick to set up, and to disconnect.If you like your awning out but are nervous when winds reach 10 mph, these are for you. I’ve used for over a year, and continue to love them. I’ve never tried over 20 mph wind, and won’t, but great for regular use!

I think it helps when you leave the awning open in the morning and run into town and when you come back the wind has picked up considerably.

I got this idea from two separate Campground Host whom are Full-Time RVers. They installed these Camco strap system and have had them all season even with the summer monsoon storms up here in the White Mountains of Az.If the ground is soft enough, use the excluded anchors. I use the rebar anchors shown [not included] for hard rocky ground.I am ordering a 2nd set for our living/dining slide awning also.

The stakes and the springs are great, however i replaced the straps with heavier duty straps i normally use for securing my ATV in my truck

I didn't need the anchors for the ground as I was securing it to the deck floor. I bought two screw in hooks and positioned safely.
