Very sharp looking sink!
Just had the ruvati RVH 8050 dual sink installed and it looks wonderful. Love the extra room under the sink as well. I see what the reviews meant by the water needs to be helped to the drain, but some quick sweeping with a sponge towards the drain and all is well. I also found a two pack window drying towel in the automotive section (lime green color) that I keep on a hook under the sink and it is like a shammy, it dries the sink in no time flat. I am choosing to forgo using the racks (have them under the sink if I so choose), but I like the look without them and as some reviews stated that the little plastic feet on the racks leave marks I won't have to worry. I think if they made the four main feet and the little grippers on the racks out of rubber, it wouldn't mark the sink at all. I bought a clear rubber mat to use when I go to wash pots and pans or anything I think could scratch the sink. I also use the large size almost exclusively...went with the two sinks for resale purpose mainly. I found a close meshed screen (comes with an attached stopper on bottom, though it is not useable) to use on the garbage disposal...again it is mounted on the large sink. It hides the black rubber matting in the disposal and catches small debris at the same time and is made of stainless steel so looks great with the sink. Love the design of this sink...it does give the look of an undermount while being overmount. The plumber loved the look of the sink. He did however have to be innovative in tightening all the locks under the sink. With the depth of the sinks at 10 Inches, maneuvering around them was one thing. There was a gap between the sink and the sides to tighten too and he had trouble with the locks wanting to bend in towards the sink and spinning when he was tightening them. He used a long handled flat screwdriver, wood blocks, and one of my long handled shishkabob sticks...lol. This helped prevent it from spinning for him to tighten it down. He said the way the screw was the screwdriver had to be exact for it to tighten. He managed it and was able to tighten them all. It would be nice if in the future they could send along with the sink a long handled tool designed to fit the screw head exactly so precision wasn't so much a concern and thus would probably prevent the spinning issue. All that being said, I love the look of this sink and still give it 5 stars.

in fact the US government should get Ruvati to package dangerous nuclear waste! Once opened I could tell right away that ...
WOW, Other reviews about how well packaged this sink is for shipping are true; in fact the US government should get Ruvati to package dangerous nuclear waste! Once opened I could tell right away that this is not your average cheap home store stainless sink. First it is huge. It will easily handle your largest pot. The 16 gauge steel is dense, heavy and durable, of course it will still scratch but dents are harder to inflict. The drain racks are a great addition and we use them always. The added drain baskets are also something I never had but now never want to do without. I have a drop in on Silestone and feared I may have to grind the edges out a little to install but it fit in the hole (22 x 33) precisely. Now the installation. Not easy. It isn't the sinks fault that it is so big, that's what we wanted; it's the cabinets fault for being so small. The clips that come with the sink work well if the cabinet parts and top are ideally positioned. This is rarely the case and mine was no exception. I had to make some modifications to the front clips to get them to sorta work. This took a while. Give yourself a full work day to deal with the removal and installation of this sink and a new faucet if its DIY. Otherwise expect to pay and installer a days work.I taped off the lip prior to caulking with silicone and achieved a crisp professional bead that fully seals and adheres but is barely visible. BTW, the clips are of little value once the adhesive silicone cures, so don't fret if you can't tighten them fully. Great sink, makes your kitchen look classy.

Looks nice but high maintenance
I've owned this sink for 2.5 years.Positives: Clean, modern look. Asymmetrical design is very nice for large pots. High quality materials, and accessories (custom fitted drain filter and racks). The steel is thick and the dampening material cuts down on banging sounds.Negatives: 1) The included racks are intended to prevent scratches, but IMO are useless. Food scraps easily get caught in them, and it's difficult to clean. You also have to frequently take it out to clean out the bottom of the sink. If you have a garbage disposal, you can't use the included drain filter, and normal drain filters you find at home depot don't fit through the rack, so you have to take the rack out to empty the drain filter. Sinks are eventually are going to get scratched with the knife or fork that falls through the rack, so save yourself some trouble and just ditch the racks from the beginning and embrace the scratches. You can have a pretty sink, or a clean one, take your pick. After you give your racks a good sterilization, use them for cooling cookies if you like. 2) The bottom of the sink is very flat, so you have to scoot food along with your hand to get it to the drain filter. I prefer flushing food with water, not my hand. 3) The corners and edges have a very small "zero-radius" -- this is what gives it a clean modern look, but again this makes it harder to clean the corners. Also, if you're not careful as you sponge around, the sharp transition between horizontal and vertical surfaces has an annoying tendency to shoot dirty water straight up into your face. Not pleasant.Overall, I give 3 stars because the quality is quite high. I would try some other sinks from Ruvati in the future because of that. However I would not recommend this particular sink because it isn't very practical from a hygiene standpoint. I'd recommend a sink with larger radius edges/corners.
