I got this last summer as a way to keep playing besides doing the backboard. It works great, gives me a kick butt workout. Easy enough to set up and get going, light enough to be easily transportable.

Works like the larger model it much easier to use

It’s lightweight and easy to transport. The downside is that the ball height and trajectory does not stay consistent. I have to stop and readjust it continually. It’s frustrating

The biggest benefit for me is the weight. With one hand in the handhold provided I can easily carry the unit. I have a Lobster ball machine that weighs at least twice as much, with a flimsy handle that broke off soon after I bought the unit. I don't use the oscillator mechanism, preferring to repeat the same shot until I get it perfected as much as I can. An impetus for buying the Tennis Cube was reading in the reviews how helpful the company was in getting a replacement battery. The battery in my Lobster died, and I don't have a clue how to replace it, and there's nothing helpful on their website. The one thing I don't like about the Tennis Cube is the balls jamming. My experience has been that filling the hopper to the brim almost guarantees a jam, and in one case a ball disappeared into the inner depths of the machine, and I had to unscrew the base to get it out. Keeping the hopper half full seems to be a work-around. Overall I think it is worth the money.

So excited to receive the tennis cube, we put it to work immediately with three generations of players. It is awesome. Straight forward directions and works well. We will get lots of use out of this, this summer.

I received my Tennis Cube w/ oscillator recently. I don't usually write reviews, but guys, I had to let you know how much I LOVE this ball machine. It works great! I'm making so much progress : - ) Please make sure you buy the option that includes the oscillator. The price difference is minimal, and it's a great feature. In a nutshell: Powerful - Accurate - Simple.

Unfortunately it worked perfectly once but then 4 tennis balls jammed inside the machine. It was difficult getting them out but you had to do that before the machine would operate again. It jammed again a few more times on top as the tennis balls tried to feed through. I wasn't concerned about that as that happens from time to time. The last straw was a red wire cap came out of the machine as I was getting ready to put it in my car. Some how it came loose. I called the company the next day and they were very willing to refund my money without any hassle. It's a shame because I really enjoyed the size and weight of it. I have an older, much heavier model but it works just fine.

The initial challenge is simply adjusting the cube to your personal specs. Oscillation is really fun, the cube will provide random balls, low to high, long and short.
