SourceOne LLC Extra Deep Treadmill Book Holder (TBH-X)

This holder is exactly what I was looking for -- fits perfectly on my elliptical, holds my devices during workout and transparent so I can see my workout data.

My new treadmill ( Bow flex ) has a touch screen. The area to place my phone or book is to far away for me to see, touch or hold steady. I MEASURED THE AREAS OF MY TREADMILL TO SEE WHICH HOLDER WOULD FIT. I STILL HAVE TO MODIFY IT WITH A SMALL PIECE OF 2 x 4 SO I CAN PLACE MY PHONE & USE IT. I NEED TO LIFT IT UP TO USE THE TOUCH SCREEN TO START MY TRED. OH THE JOYS OF TECHNOLOGY. PLEASE DON'T SEND ME QUESTIONS 'WILL IT FIT MY MODEL?' GET OUT A TAPE MEASURE AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

I like to read or watch TV when I'm exercising on my Proform treadmill so I ordered this as an upgrade to my homemade holder that included a large rubber band. This book holder is well-made and I like the fact that it's clear, so you can see the treadmill settings and dashboard. Unfortunately, it was too deep for my treadmill, so I returned it and purchased the same product in the next smaller size. It works great and holds books, magazines, or my iPad. Since my treadmill's timer reset button is in the center of the console, I stuck a couple small pieces of weatherstripping around the treadmill reset button to keep the book holder from coming in contact with it.

I bought this because the gym installed new treadmills with no place to put a phone where you could read or watch a program. Other types of machines had suitable shelves. I was constantly staring down to read while trying to maintain a good posture. This device was perfect. Even with the extremely wide console top, the holder fit and was clear so I could see the progress of my workout.

My main purpose of thyis review the actual size being shipped. I just received the X-Thick Console book holder, which was purchased for a PaceMaster Gold treadmill. I needed 3.125" on the large opening. Below is what I just measured:Large end = 3.0"Small end = 1.625"Width = 11"Height = 9.5"I am giving it 3 stars since the large opening is nowhere near the 3.5" stated. That spec could not even be correct for outside dimension, which was about 3.125". Since this is close, I am keeping it.........I'll just have to be careful. Any attempt to completely seat it on my console will probably crack it. On the other hand, if it had been a full 3.5 ".......it would have been a loose fit, but a proper fit

I can watch my favorite TV shows on my phone while I walk. I can also check my email on my laptop as it fits in the holder too. I can see through the holder to note the treadmill gages/time/speed. Works very well and just slips on. Great!

(3 1/2 STARS) I needed a book holder that fitted the Precor elliptical machines I use at the gym, which are pretty thick at the top. This worked great for one of the Precor models. For the other Precor model it was so-so, because the book holder would lean forward somewhat so that it was nearly vertical rather than resting on the console panel. The book holder seems solidly built. I wish the base were a little wider, because once in a while I have a really thick book and it won't fit (especially if I'm near the beginning or end of the book). But for any normal size book, tablet, etc., the width should be fine.

This book holder did meet my expectations. It is exactly as pictured. I think the price is rather high for what it is & although it arrived inside the timeline, it took the longest of anything I've ever ordered from Amazon.ca. Now fingers crossed that it is compatible with the equipment at my fitness club
