Personalized Flag Box for American Veteran's Burial Flag - 9.5 X 5 Feet, Glass Front, Wall Mounted Display Case

I bought this to store the flag that was given to my grandfather when he passed. He was in the Air Force. Plus he did many other great things throughout his life. I wanted to get something special to store the flag in and was originally going to just buy a plain wooden case in the shape of the flag after they fold it at the funeral, but I just so happened to come across this one. It is absolutely perfect! It is a bit pricey, however you get to pick the emblem for what the branch was they were in, put their name, date of birth and date of passing. Plus any special words you want to add. Also, the fit was perfect. I didn't have to overstuff it into the case. It us easy to open and close. It keeps the flag dust free and protects it from damage. It is real good and thick and functions either by hanging it on the wall, or putting it on a table, desk, bookcase, etc. It is such a wonderful, and , beautiful, way to honor and display the flag of that special person that served time as an officer or in the military. I highly recommend this to be the case you choose to display your loved ones sacrifices. The writing on it is more than perfect and has not flaked or peeled off. We chose to add engraving for that extra personal touch, and it came out even better than I expected. The flag we received from the funeral home was the traditional display capacity 9.5 x 5 ft burial flag, and honestly, I wasn't sure it would fit. It did. Perfectly fit.It was easy to place the folded flag inside. While it can be mounted, I have ours resting on the entertainment center, next to his favorite hat. It's become a quiet but powerful reminder of the man he was and the life he lived.The display case is also easy to clean, which I hadn't considered until I saw how often I paused to look at it. The quality, craftsmanship, and price were more than fair—it felt like I was paying for a piece of peace.I've wanted to write this review for a while, but I'm now moving into the next phase of grieving and today felt like the right time. If you're considering this for a loved one, I recommend it. It gave us a tangible remembrance that feels as special as the person it honors.

The display box is beautiful! The wood color is very deep and the etching is very crisp. I put in my father's flag and noticed two issues that I needed to fix.First was the visibility of the etching. When the box is empty, the etching is very easy to see against the black background, but when the flag is inserted, the etching has less contrast and thus less visible. The visibility is also dependent on the lighting in the room where you display it. I found a white crayon will leave just enough wax in the etched letters to enhance the contrast. I rubbed the crayon gently over the etched areas then carefully burnished off the excess wax between the letters. Some areas required a second application and I changed the direction I rubbed to leave a consistent layer behind. For the service emblem I rubbed diagonally to avoid leaving obvious lines. I did blur a few personal details in the final version, but the line "United States Army" shows the improvement in the contrast between the before and after pictures.The second problem was the placement of the stars in the shadow box. I removed the flag and unfolded one layer of the folds so I had a size and star placement that fit the display opening better. I fit the new layer in the opening and adjusted the angle so the stars were more horizontally aligned, then folded the remainder behind that layer to finish fitting in the box. I understand the flag isn't exactly in the 13-fold configuration, but I think it looks slightly better as a tribute, and the etching is easier to read.All together, I'm very happy with the quality of the display box!

The flag box arrived today and I could not be more pleased. I was afraid the mahogany was going to be very red as it looked more red on the website, but it is perfect. The etching looks amazing, with no flaws or misspellings. They put exactly what I ordered on it. I am so pleased with this purchase. My Dad's flag looks great in it's new box. When I was pricing flag boxes on the internet I was surprised at the range or prices. A fella could spend a lot of dough on a flag box if he wanted to. This one is priced much lower than than most I've seen online, but don't let that scare you away. It is very solid and well made. If you're looking for a great box that won't flatten your wallet, order this one.

My mom loves this. My father passed away recently and my brother, sister and I all pitched in to purchase this for her. We put his flag in this case and she said it looks beautiful. I loved the customization options it gave. I also like that it can be mounted to the wall.

VERY Pleased with this box! I'm so happy that I finally found a flag box that is worthy of displaying my grandfathers flag! Other places I had ordered similar products from were disappointing with finish that looked opaque as painted or fakey red with off colored stain. This one has nice genuine woodgrain and a quality dark mahogany, cherry colored stain and satin finish. The wood is cut and joined perfectly. There was a little bit of shipping damage to the wood but it was on the bottom back so not visible when on display. Fast personalized engraving service (note that adding the logo is $15.99 extra) adds a nice touch to visibly honor my grandfather's service. The back is sturdy and easy to remove with multiple swing latches. Once removed, the burial flag slid in easily and fit perfectly. I am so glad to finally find a great product at a fair price.
