16x20x1 Washable Electrostatic Air Filter. Reusable HVAC & Furnace Air Filter

I like this filter because is good deal and I can reuse again so is a good thing Plus give me the protection to brief air cleaner

Great air filter. Fit awesome.

This filter is very solid, sturdy and well made.. We live on a dirt road and get lots of dust and dirt in the house. This filter is gonna save me lots of money on expensive, disposable filters which get clogged up after just 30 days. I’m looking forward to washing this one after 30-60 days. Looking back, I should have bought two of these so I could swap them while cleaning and drying the other.

A little too big for my needs, and ever so short to be used outside the vent. I mistakenly measured the grate, and not the well the Air Filter sits in. SO, the grate is 12 x 30. The one filter was 10 x 30 x1. Sadly it didn't work. THOUGH, the frame is steel and thus magnetic, which for the crafty amongst you might have some fun with that info. FOR instance, buy a 20 x 20 one, and a box fan and you have a more than decent air filter, since most air filters are JUST t that, You could even get creative and buy two UV C tubes and place it inside the fan and it should be cleared of the blades. Get tiny round rare earth magnets the size of the screw heads on the back of the box fan, double side tape (the mounting tape) the back of the magnets and press the filter against the back and should hold the filter on. Professional Air filters aren't really anything more.So, while it didn't work for my needs, it is made well and well priced. I have others for the other vents in my house, and all you have to do to clean them use the jet nozzle on your hose and spray both sides, sun dry. That's why I usually buy two.

I got this because my regular filters left a lot of dust inside the house and bended upwards. I have not had it long enough to really see how well it works, but the dust is way less then it was. Also the clogging of the water condensing drip is gone, which makes me think that the dust that did go thru the filters clogged the running water in the hose. We will see, but so far no wet spots on the carpet around the AC. I plan on blowing the filter out with the air compressor and reinstall it after that. If I washed it, I would need a second filter to install while the other one is drying. This one is very sturdy and seems well made. I know it reduces the dust, that much I can see already. I might purchase a second one, if the blow out method does not work. I am hoping that this will save me a lot of money over a years time.

I really wish the product worked for me. But it does not. A 16x20x1 paper filter fits in the aluminum track in the air handler snugly. But this washable aluminum filter does not fit at all. Partially because of the rivet that fastens the filter together, but it must just be a smidge bigger which is enough to not make it fit.

I decided to give these electrostatic air filters a try, hoping they'd be a high-quality alternative to regular filters, but they ended up being a huge disappointment. They're very expensive, which I could have overlooked if they performed well, but they don't. The build quality is really poor, and they don't fit properly in the frame, which means they don’t create a good seal. As a result, air just flows around them instead of through them, defeating the purpose of having a filter at all. It feels like a waste of money for something that doesn't do its job. I definitely wouldn't recommend these filters to anyone looking for a reliable air filtration solution.

The furnace blower works way less hard with this filter, and I swear the furnace efficiency will be higher too based on the amount of heat coming out when the blower is on low. My guess is that I'll save more on gas and furnace maintenance every year than what this cost. If anything we have less dust now than with the previous 'permanent' filter (which lasted years and which we'll use for the odd day when the new one is drying after being washed), and this one is built way tougher.
