Easy litter box solution
I searched and read reviews on so many different litter box options and finally decided to try this one. I LOVE it! My bunny loves it. The box itself is very sturdy and easy to clean. The removable grate keeps bunny off of his mess. The grate holes are large enough for solids to fall through and onto the pads. My only complaint is that the pads that come with the litter box are too small, IMO. I purchased puppy pads and I use binder clips to secure the pad to the wall of the litter box, with one side higher than the other. I also use pellets that absorb liquids (not kitty litter pellets) and it seems to help with odor. This little complaint is not enough to drop a single star on my review because I love this litter box so much. Cleaning requires a few more steps which I donβt mind. I remove the grate. Place on some paper towels in a boot tray. I had mixed up a solution of vinegar, water, and a splash of fabuloso and I use it to spray the grate. If thereβs any excess mess left behind Iβll wipe it. Then I use a spray bottle with just water to βrinseβ off the cleaner. I do this after Iβve put the bunny into his cage for the night so I can have his box air dry and any remaining smells from the cleaner dissipate. I replace the liner and the pellets and we are good to go for the next day.

Absolute must purchase for all rabbit owners
Yes, it's not cheap, but out of all of our spoiled rabbit's many, many, expensive things, this is by far the most useful to us. We've wasted hundreds of dollars and probably tried a dozen or so different types of toilets to try to solve a variety of issues before we found this one. 1) A toilet that won't make her smell like her own poo all day 2) A toilet that won't give her a matted pee butt from sitting in her pee all day. 3) A toilet that isn't a total chore to clean. 4) a toilet that she'll actually use instead of peeing/pooping all around it.This toilet ticks all of the boxes. So much so, that we've actually bought three of them to rotate while we clean her. Cleaning is a breeze! 1) lift out the old pee pad (we use costco pee pads that cover the entire box instead of the smaller pee pads, so we can just grab and lift out everything) and throw in the trash. 2) garden hose spray down the box/tray 3) Line the box with a new pee pad when dry.It doesn't get easier than this, and unless you enjoy spending lots of time cleaning out your rabbit tray or are okay with your rabbit laying in filth, then this is an absolute must purchase for any rabbit owner. The build quality is surprisingly high and love the curved slots on the tray that are easy on her feet and also make it easier for the poo to fall into the tray below. The high edges keep her from spraying outside the box and are also perfect for clipping on a small hay box! I think the only thing they could possibly improve is maybe an even larger size for very large rabbits, but for our netherland dwarf, this is a perfect and spacious size!

Sturdy but soft on paws
We have two Holland Lops, one is just over 2 lbs and the other is just over 2.5 lbs. The extra large fits one bunny at a time very well. We have tried the corner style one but these quickly became too small for our growing buns and I did not like the metal grate they had to stand on and using litter without a pee pad is a messy cleanup. Weβve also tried a litter similar to this one except there is a drawer for the poo tray as opposed to the top lifting. The top lifting style is MUCH easier to clean. Plus, this litter is a little bigger and best of all the material is a very sturdy plastic and yet they designed it to have a soft/smooth surface and rounded edges on the part they stand on. I love it - best weβve found so far.To those who have buns that pee in the same spot - I have learned to put just a bit of litter on top of the pee pads in a couple spots. Not only does this help absorb, but it also helps to distribute the liquid across the pee pad better. I do agree that a larger version would be useful. Like many pictured here, we also put our hay in the box with them. An ideal improvement would be a high wall with a built in hay feeder! Highly recommend as itβs the best Iβve come across so far.

Almost perfect.
I purchased this litter pan, after struggling for a long time to find one that fit my rabbit's needs. Specifically, I had the following constraints:(1) It needed to be grated, as my rabbit loves to sit in her litter pan, which meant she got mats of fur on her backend if there was no grate. The grates also needed to be comfy, so they wouldn't hurt her feet.(2) It needed to have high walls, as she had started peeing over the side.(3) It needed to be big, as she's a decent sized (5-6lbs) rabbit. Those tiny corner pans wouldn't do.(4) I wanted the grates to cover the entire thing from side to side - I found many of the grated pans on Amazon have a very wide, solid border around the edges for some reason, which would allow urine to just collect and sit there, thus defeating the purpose of having the grate in the first place. (Note: I believe only the XL size of this pan has the grate that goes all the way - I think the smaller versions have that solid edge so be aware of that.)After searching for a very long time to find one that fit these needs, I found this pan. I hesitated because the cost was so high, but really needing a pan for her, I went ahead and tried it out. There was a lot I really loved about this litter pan. But there were a few detractors that made it something i couldn't rely on long term. Maybe though, it would work for you.Things I really, really like about this pan, that makes it superb:(1) It is HUGE. I bought the XL size, so I can't speak for the L. But the XL is a very big pan. Rabbit had room to move around comfortably, lie down, it was so spacious. I loved this part. She loved this part. A big plus. I can't say I've found another pan that is this big.(2) High walls - perfect. No peeing over the side. And the front has no wall so she can just jump inside and it's not difficult for her. She would have to jump in, then turn around completely to pee off the side, but she never does that, so no problems there.(3) EASY TO CLEAN. It beats any other litter pan I've used in this regard. The grate separates from the litter tray with no effort. Though I wasn't considering this when I purchased it, it was a massive plus, and I'd get it again just for this reason, if it weren't for the detractors.(4) The grates are the perfect size - the plastic lines are thick enough that it is very comfortable for her feet (her feet aren't falling through, and it's not a painful wire), but the holes are big enough to allow poop to drop through without any issues. Excellent.(5) Grate on the XL version of this pan spans the entire pan. (There is a very tiny solid border, but I think it's just impossible to avoid - and it wasn't enough to collect urine.) Be aware the smaller sizes of this pan (Large and medium) I think might have that solid border - so if this is important to you, get the XL.(5) Material felt sturdy. The plastic was very thick. You don't get the feeling this is going to break. It's not flimsy at all.(6) A fun, nice looking color. I like that it was pink. It looked pretty cool. Different than other pans. I wouldn't purchase it for this reason, but it was a nice plus. For the first couple weeks, I thought I found the perfect pan. However, after about a month or so, the plastic really began to degrade from my rabbit's urine. I want to state up front that I realize now, this is probably because I wasn't cleaning it properly - I was NOT wiping the urine down every day. I have since purchased another 'plastic grated' litter pan, and found the same thing happened (though in fairness, it took much longer for the other one to degrade) so I don't believe it's unique to this pan. I believe rabbit urine simply is acidic enough to eat away at plastics if it sits too long - though it happened very quickly on this one. Now, I religiously wipe any plastic litter grates down multiple times a day, and they seem to work fine. Regardless, just make sure you wipe your rabbits urine off the plastic grate of this pan, probably twice daily, or this pan (or any plastic grated litter pan), will quickly become wasted. I was wiping it down - just not enough. By the time I noticed it getting really bad, I tried many things to scrub it clean, but by then it was beyond repair and I had to throw it away. But here is the big detractor - this pan is far too expensive. I love the construction. I love that it's easy to clean. I love how spacious it is and how perfectly thick the grates are. I love that so much thought went in to this pan, really. But it is about $45, and that is simply too much for (any!) litter pan. If it weren't for the cost, I would have just bought another when mine went bad, would have bought several actually and kept using this as a long term solution. But I could not afford buying multiple $45 litter pans. I feel like this should be $20-$25 or so. That would be reasonable. Even now, I would love to purchase this pan again and try it out, now that I'm aware of how diligently you need to clean these, but again I just can't afford to spend $45 on it, and I've found another grated litter pan that's pretty cheap so I rely on that now (though, it is NOT as nice as this pan - no doubt. But it does the job). Maybe if they just sold the top grate replacements for this thing, it would be pretty cool.Anyway - here's another big plus I want to tell you about. I contacted customer service after my pan got destroyed due to the urine. At the time, I thought it was unique to this pan. It was already past the return window, so I expected nothing out of it, and the seller would have been justified in telling my sorry but tough luck. Instead, they completely refunded the cost of the pan, and of course didn't require me to return it. I was really floored. Not only that, but they gave me a really nice written response. The response I got from them was thorough, concise, gracious, and above all helpful. Probably one of the best and easiest interactions I've had with an amazon seller. So much so, that I'm coming back here to review this thing nearly 8 months after that interaction - I just kept putting it off, but was so impressed by them I have been wanting to do this for so long. So on top of the pan being very well constructed - I think you should know that the company really stands behind the product. I think if you had an issue down the road, for example if the pan had some structural issue, they are not going to let you lose your money on it.Anyway - good luck on your litter pan journey. I'd say, if money is not an issue for you, this is probably a great litter pan. Just remember - (1) WIPE IT DOWN MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY, or it WILL degrade from your rabbit's urine - and it will happen QUICKLY! (2) Make sure you are purchasing the XL size if you want a truly jumbo pan. From other reviews that I remember, the large is not so big. Furthermore, the smaller versions of this pan - the grates do not span the entire way across - which means urine is just going to collect on the edges, and your rabbit will be sitting in her urine. The XL does NOT have this problem. Good luck! And thanks again CalPalmy for helping me out so graciously, when I had an issue with your product. $45 was a lot of money for me. One day I'll try your pan again. Finally - I want to suggest a particular puppy pad for you to use. I've since tried out several brands, and a lot of them are awful (very thin, hold very little urine, they stink, etc.). I'm sorry to say I don't remember how well the pads that were included with this pan worked. Anyway, I found the Members Mark brand they sell at Sam's Club is actually really good, and way cheaper than anything I'd found on amazon (they are about $15 for 120 pads). They don't have a problem with stinking and they hold a TON of urine (8 cups!! Most I'd found on amazon like the glade ones seem to hold about 4 cups). I hope this helps someone.

Great litter box - how do I order more of the pads??
The litter box is great for my rabbit. Great size and the grate doesn't hurt my bun's feet. I love the 'pet training pads' that came with it! I'm out of them and would love to reorder that specific size. So far I can't find them on Amazon. Does anyone else know where they can be found?? 11.7" x 13"

Dirty and Broken
For a product that is almost $70CAD after tax, I expected better quality and communication. The bottom of the box is dirty and broken. I want a replacement.

Works great
This works amazing and would highly suggest. Only complaint would be to drawer stains a little easily.
