It's a great little EDF unit until.... you take it to full throttle. I was mostly using this thing at low speeds, but needed to take it to full throttle once. And the moment I did, there was a loud wine of the motor followed by something very sharp spinning through the air. The fan blades had broken off at the high speed and the red cable had somehow come off the esc and the motor. Overall, not what you would expect from E-Flite.

This is the edf housing and rotor only. It allows you to choose between the original 11000kv motor and the new 13000kv motor. We used this and the 11000kv motor for a ducted fan "outlaw" pinewood derby car. The system performed well and was only outdone by a 54 mm fan. We plan to use it next for an e.d.f. powered glider.

You should know that this thing is just plastic. it has no electronic parts so you need to already have your own motor to make it spin.
