Crack even for my lazy cat!
I'm telling you, folks, this toy is the cat's meow! It's the secret weapon I've been using to tackle the eternal struggle of getting my lazy furballs to exercise. It's like a tiny fitness coach wrapped up in a ball of fluff! But let me break it down for you in all its hilarious glory. So, picture this: I bring home this fantastic contraption, right? It's supposed to be a simple toy, but oh boy, does it have a mind of its own! The moment I flick it on, it's like I've unleashed a tiny tornado in my living room. My one cat, who normally spends her days snoozing on the couch, suddenly transforms into a whirlwind of feline energy. She's up on her paws, darting left and right, just like a clumsy ballet dancer trying to catch the spotlight. But wait, it gets better. My other cat, the one who's always engaged and ready for action, sees the commotion and decides to join the party. Now we have two furballs on the loose, dancing to the rhythm of this mischievous toy. It's like a feline version of a dance-off, and let me tell you, these kitties got moves! But here's the real kicker. This magical toy isn't just making them exercise; it's rekindling their lost friendship. You see, these two used to be inseparable. They would chase each other around the house, playfully pounce on one another, and have epic wrestling matches on the living room rug. But as time went on, they started to drift apart. It's like they entered a feline mid-life crisis, where napping took precedence over frolicking. But this toy? It's the cat cupid of playtime, bringing them back together in the most hilarious way possible.

Well-built!
Someone put a lot of thought into the durability and usability of this toy! It's nearly silent, which I thoroughly appreciate, and it's easy to operate. A couple of things I wish were different: 1. The toy slaps the string attachment down HARD. Like, swat-the-dog-on-the-nose hard (I don't have a dog, and I wouldn't swat it if I did, but hopefully you get the gist). I would prefer a toy that my cats attack, not the other way around. 2. The plastic wings are the exact hardness and thickness to cut an animal's nose if they're in the way when it slaps down. I stuck that attachment to a cardboard box instead. 3. It's ALIVE! This thing turned itself on at 3 am and scared the crap out of me. I had put it in one of those tiny camping tents from Pet Smart, and, in my groggy haze, it rolling against the sides and smacking on the floor sounded exactly like a crackling fire. Scared me half to death. I realize auto-start is a feature, not a bug, but I would prefer if its hours of operation didn't include 3 am. 4. I would also prefer if it rolled in a straight line for longer. It does a lot of flipping around, but my cats like to chase snakes, not butterflies. When it goes straight, they immediately start after it, but it stops and flips around almost immediately, which causes them to settle back down to watch it. Kind of defeats the whole reason I bought it. Now, some things I like about it: 1. It's ALIVE! Startling as it is, my cats seem to enjoy the auto-start feature: it really juices up their prey drive. It also keeps the thing from getting hopelessly lost under furniture. 2. It's nearly silent. 3. It can climb (sort of) and get itself out of jams. I found it in a corner behind a scratching post that has a thick base; I thought it was stuck, but as I reached down to rescue it, it noped and popped itself up and out of the corner. 4. It does a marvelous job of cleaning cobwebs from under kitchen cabinets (hence why I put it in the tent). I gave this toy four stars because it's incredibly well-built, well-thought-out, and nearly silent; these are the top three issues most electronic cat toys have, and this company tackled them all. To push it to five stars, I would have it travel in a straight line for a longer period and reduce the strength of the downward slap.

Works as described but at what cost
Ordered this for my cat because he seemed to be getting bored with his day to day and he loves it, but good lord it is annoying. Im not exaggerating when I say that turning this toy on makes me want to scream. I thought I read somewhere that it had some sensory capability so it wouldn't run into things, but it seems to always find its way to the most loud objects in the apartment and run into them/twirl around on them. It's like no matter where I put it to start, it always ends back up in the most annoying places. The thing will literally run into the wall and just continually bump into it without changing course. Worst thing is when it runs into a trash can and bangs it over and over. The best feature is the fact that it runs for 10 mins then stops, so I know the noise won't last too long. The problem is it seems like once you forget about it that's when it starts back up lmao. Also a very sturdy product. I read some reviews saying their cats tore them up but other than a few feathers coming off of one tail I haven't had any issues. I've even kicked the toy clear across the room and it just goes back to spinning and rolling around. It's not particularly fast so it's not like my cat is getting some intense play, but it does keep him interested/intrigued and he hops up and follows it around whenever it starts up. I gave it five stars because it does everything it's supposed to and I've had no issues with it performance-wise, so I wrote this as just something to think about! Like I said, my cat loves it so I use it regularly anyways because I love him... but I seriously dread turning this thing on. The things we do for love smh

While the cat still would play with it, the unit will no longer recharge. The recharger won’t stay in the port. Useless now. Original review: have had this for 4-5 months now, and it continues to fascinate Sheba. She usually gets bored with her toys, but I use this everyday for her. Only recently did the attachment break and needed to be replaced. She mostly watches it intently and takes a swipe or attacks it occasionally. I would definitely buy this again.
