This wheel is so light that it moves on the table if you put any clay on it that is bigger than a quarter size. I used a shelf liner to stick it to the countertop, but it still moves around easily. A larger square box wheel may work better? Not sure. I was able to throw tiny pieces, but know that the splash pan won't keep anything off of you or the area the area you are working in. Good enough for teeny tiny pieces like what you see in vogue in Japan, but hard for anyone who isn't an experienced potter. Wish I could return it and try a different type of mini wheel. Honestly thought it would be fun during Corona with the pottery studio closed. Will keep working with it and update if I figure out how to make it more stable.

I ordered this pottery wheel for sanding down resin dice. So far it has done well for what I needed it for. It’s not the most amazing, but it does the job well for being so affordable.

Item received was used and dirty. The sealing tape/sticker on the outside box has already been cut through, box was damaged on the corners. For the item itself, I opened a lid and immediately there was some wired smell coming out. The inside of the lid and the wheel has some sticky stuff on it, and some dark fussy hair looking thing, not sure what they are, looks nasty.... Either it's a used item, or they need better QA when product leaves the factory... I also noticed that removing the rotating plate would be very challenging, how are you supposed to clean it after you get clay all over it??? I saw there's a tiny screw below the plate, I have a full set home toolbox myself, but even with the smallest tool it still is too big for that screw, so I have no way removing the plate to clean it. The plate also doesnt look level, no instructions on how to level it.I did try turning it on, it does rotate and the speed adjusting nob works. However, it also got scratches all over which makes me think it's used item....

Despite reading reviews and really trying to see if this would be worth my time I ordered this for my daughter who is a potter. The motor isn't very strong so when you apply pressure the wheel stops turning OR the BASE would start turning. I had to hold the base while she tried to throw a tiny bowl. At the end of the day it was more trouble than it was fun and we decided she would most likely never use it again and agreed to return it.

This is very small. It’s too small to basically do anything and the motor is too weak. The pictures used in the advertisement are clearly not from the same product which any reasonable person would agree is in an ethical thing to do. I saw the pictures, and I thought the wheel would be that size but it wasn’t
