I'm honestly surprised by this product. The only other review seemed real sketchy given that it's not a verified purchaser and the wording is off (at one point they referred to their daughter as a "him" so idk...just weird. I get english can be a second language and I'm not making fun of that, just the review seemed off for the product). But I decided I really wanted this one as the size was perfect and gave it a shot!What I use it for: I actually use this for sanding. So if you're looking for pottery info, this review might not apply? I tape sanding paper down onto it.First impressions:: This product is a lot lighter than I expected. Had me worried that would mean it wasn't sturdy but it it! It sits flat, the wheel is solid and overall it's exactly what I needed. The body is a beautiful black color with blue flowers pattern on aluminum.The wheel is probably 1.5-2inches in diameter. I haven't measured it but it's small which is what I wanted.It has a dial on the cord so you can control the speed which is fantastic. I haven't checked what the max speed is and I've only used it about 1/3rd of the actual speed and it was spinning fine. It can definitely stop if you're pushing waaaaay too hard on it but that's if you're really trying to stop it. My pressure on the product on the surface is just fine and it works great.The switch can be flipped up or down to adjust which direction the wheel spins. You put it at the center to stop it or you turn the dial off.I only used it for a couple of things so I might be back in a few months to give an updated review!Last note: as it stands, it's doing what I need it to do. It does seem to be on the more delicate side in that it's light and there's very little to it so I have personal hesitations that this might not last for very long but I'll be sure to update in a few months!

I was surprise and disappointed in how SMALL it was, about the size of a silver dollar. Too small to do much with it. A tiny toy.

I tried this with a soft clay body and whenever I put the least amount of pressure on the clay the wheel would just stop. It was completely useless. Also, the housing was slipping out, so I pulled it out expected that to be designed (I seriously put barely any pressure to pull the wheel out) and it snapped some wires. I soldered them back in to try to get this thing to be the least bit useful but unfortunately it was a completely waste of money.
