AWESOME !!!!!!!
very nice !!!! i definitely didn't want to spend $300 for a gel seat with mixed reviews, but at $68 with good reviews, this is a bargain !! when i saw the pic of the GEL seat on a sportbike, i knew it would be just right for my CBR1000RR... i go out on 4 to 5 hour rides stopping only for gas, and without it i was sometimes a bit sore... this not only feels great, it looks great too... it's not too squishy, it's just perfect..absorbs the bumps and vibration and makes your butt and nuts much more comfortable !!! seriously... i didn't expect the second benefit..lol also, it doesn't make you feel like your sitting any higher then normal... i like the way my bike feels and wouldn't want to be any higher, so having the riding position unchanged was a big plus... UPDATE: 2 months in and still lovin' it.. just wanted to add that I removed (they slide right off) the included hooks from the straps because they kept popping off where I had them attached.. tied a double knot instead and couldn't be happier.

I have yet to find a reason not to ride with it on
Till custom seats appear for the 2018 Kawasaki 400 I will be using this gel seat.. seems to be constructed very well. adds about an inch to the height and a lot of pleasure to my rearend.. much better than the stock seat alone to "me". The two straps tied to the foot peg mounts work good enough and allow for quick on and off...maybe to quick depending on your area.. I have yet to find a reason not to ride with it on..

Helps
Like all pads I've tried, the Conformax Topper Excel doesn't solve the butt pain problem, just reduces it. The next time I tour I'm going to take the further measure (going by another rider's experienced advice) and hike 2-3 miles every day to re-boot my booty. I've also heard riding lots of curvy roads reduces butt pain, because more moving around on the seat, more blood flow through the posterior - vs riding long distances on interstates does the opposite.UPDATE- I've had this for a couple of years now and the durability is excellent. The seat pad I've had underneath it is wearing faster, with none of the friction the Conformax above it has had.

Improves Seat Comfort
It solved the sliding forward effect of the OEM seat on my 2015 FZ-09 and it also provided gel padding for greater long-term riding comfort that many complained about. The only problem that is universal with most aftermarket seat pads is security. One could easily cut the nylon straps and off they go with the seat pad. I do not know the answer except to glue the pad to the OEM seat, but right now I do not want to do that unless I test it thoroughly and decide that is the best economical and permanent solution. Of course, having the seat modified by a professional would be the best solution, but it will also be the most expensive, whereas the seat pad is under $80.....unless someone steals it; that would then start escalating the cost above a complete seat makeover. Fingers crossed for now.

Very Comfy!
Yup, works great! Once I got the straps adjusted under the seat it stays right where I want it. I've been so much more comfortable riding, especially my back and my behind. But be aware: if you leave it in the hot sun for a couple hours it can heat up quite a bit! It felt like I was truly burning my skin for about 15 minutes. It did not burn my skin but I was sure it was. So if it's hot, keep it covered. A white bandanna did the trick after that.I ride a 2009 Yamaha V Star 650 and it fits perfectly on my seat.

Very disappointed in the degree of padding provided.
Seems that after a few months of riding that my initial impression of this pad remains: It's all but useless. It's simply too thin to make any difference regarding comfort. It works as well as an expensive piece of cardboard.

Ride turned painful 90 minutes in.
I was hoping to get back on my sportbike give it another chance for long rides getting older, but after only 90 minutes it turned excruciating with this gel pad and had to take this off. I usually go about 5 to 6 hours before feeling any pain on the stock seat, but with this gel seat it only took an hour and a half in. After taking it off I rode for an additional 3 and half hours so it wasn't just me. I bought it specifically due to 5 star reviews, maybe its just my buttox I don't know.

It takes a few minutes to tie it off,but well worth the effort
This pad is around 4 inches shorter than the length of my seat. I have a 2004 Harley davidson fxstdi and it fits just fine. I didn't use any of the hardware that came with the strips, just looped the strap under the frame and the doubled up leftovers through the d-rings. All snug and secure ,doesn't look terrible, but less comfortable than the stock seat after a 2 hour ride. Maybe it will be better after a few more hours. Update: 2 weeks later I'm still getting used to it, but not liking the 1"lift it gives me. Now I need a taller windshield. It never ends .....
