ACTIVE AIRCommercial Pint Dehumidifier Humidity Control

I ordered two of these dehumidifiers for my barn and managed to find then on sale for only 500. Only the first ones been delivered and it works great. Plugged it in, turned it on and the fan fired up. Compressor fires up less than 5 seconds later. Only reason I took off a star is it had a really bad rattling sound. I thought the fan was off balance, but I pulled the back panel off with 8 screws and found the copper line coming off the compressor (or to it?) Was rubbing against the fan housing. With slight pressure I bent it back away and put a piece of the foam packaging between the pipe and housing to prevent any future rubbing or noise. If left unfixed I believe it would have eventually worn through the copper causing a leak, or my patience making that God awful noise. Will update if anything is wrong with the second unit.

i had been using the dehumidifer consistently and it worked great for the time it did but now, 2 months out of being brand new, it would appear the compressor died and its basically a paperweight. doesnt actually dehumidify anything. do not buy if you want longevity.

The unit has stopped working after 3 months of use. Since I threw the box away, the warranty is not “valid” and now I’m scrabbling to try and find parts for this 800 dollar paper weight.
