Plugged in and connected with racepak data logger. Didn’t even have to download special drivers.

Works as expected
I have several devices that use a 3.5mm plug for RS232 data at TTL levels. The devices were supplied with a 3.5mm to DB9 cable, which requires a separate USB to RS-232 DB9 adapter.This cable replaces both of those with a single cable that plugs into the USB port on the computer and into the 3.5mm jack on the device. The driver automatically loaded without issue and it just worked. It reduces cable clutter and simplifies my system.

Works with QNAP TS-1277 NAS
My NAS box has a serial interface with a 3.5mm connector, using normal RS232 voltage levels (not TTL levels). I bought this because it is not TTL, unlike many similar cables on Amazon. And the cable works great.If you have a QNAP x77 NAS, this is the cable you need. It has the right voltage levels and the right pinout.

Does not work with Dothill or Seagate Storage
I needed this to serial into a few Dothill and Seagate chassis' and it didn't work. It may work for other equipment.

Quality built
Item seems to be quality built but I couldn't get it to work with drivers from FTDI website. I returned it for a refund.
