NOW Foods Psyllium Husks Whole, 16 Oz (Pack of 2)

Due to some elevated blood work I decided to add some fiber to my diet. Not interested in paying a high price for the popular brand, (over hyped and over priced in my opinion) I was recommended this brand as the most beneficial. I caught a sale in the double pack. I tried it in water first and washed it right down. It’s not bad. A mild nutty flavor. Quite pleasant. I now add it to some flavored drink mix in water (crystal light, cool-ade for a few examples) I let it sit for a minute or two to let it begin to gel. Not too long as to let it get too thick. I drink it right down within 3 minutes time. I like the texture and flavor, even with the flavored drink mix. I started with 1 teaspoon twice a day to eliminate any gastric disturbance. I now take 1 tablespoon twice a day. I have had no issues with gas or gut pain. I have noticed I am very full after my meal. I read some people don’t like the texture. It’s fiber people. It’s supposed to be a bit gritty. But saying that, I find this brand to have no grit with this type of psyllium fiber. It has texture but no grit. Kinda like when you eat tapioca. I personally like the flavor and texture. It’s said you can add it to yogurt or pudding if you have any issues. I like this psyllium fiber and will continue to use it and repurchase this brand as long as it stays reasonably priced.

I repeatedly buy this psyllium product for me and for my dog. I often sprinkle it on my cereal or add it to my prebiotic drink. The vet recommended it for my dog to bulk up her stool--and that goal has been met. The product's texture/consistency is similar to granulated sugar, but it is lighter/fluffier.

I have been taking this daily for 30+ years. Not because I need too, but because its awesome.

More expensive than a few months ago. In bags, not container. The psyllium husks are browner than before. Don’t know what that means.

No complaints. I use it for fiber. Have and will buy again.

Amazing product! Can’t live without it. Quality is great.
