So, "firmness" is a matter of preference. "Too much" or "too little" is again just preference. That said, for my tastes and experience, this is slightly too firm. Over the night my hips get a little sore (I'm a side sleeper). But, the pad is new and maybe it will soften with some time. Would I buy it again? Yes. It's much better than too soft. Unless there is some objective metric used for "firm" or "soft" there is really no way to compare this to some other option. But, I do hope it softens about 10% or so with use. We're using this for our camper. Under it is plywood.

Got 2x30x72 high density foam to reinforce sofa seat cushions. Because I inserted the foam on top of the existing interiors, the finished cushions were very firm and high. My mistake. I should have gotten the 1 inch. Cutting the foam with an exacto knife was easy. Wrestling the foam into the zippered seat cushions (along with the existing interior stuffing) was not easy. However, this was a good way to restore life to a discouraged sofa and it’s now easier to get up from the seated position. I’d do it again, but with the 1 inch . Also, I unrolled and aired out the foam for several days before inserting. It really did smell bad initially, then the chemical smell disappeared.

This is excellent quality. Very high quality and super dense. I needed this to fill a huge 10" gap between a headboard and mattress and the wall. Fit perfectly after I put two 5 "pieces together and cut the length slightly (with a bread knife) Worked perfectly. No more pillows falling behind the headboard at night! Came sooner than expected also. This will last for as long as I will ever need it... I can tell.

I needed to replace my couch seat cushions, but couldn’t afford to get them.I began researching foam cushions, and it led me to this foam rectangle. It was the perfect size, all I had to do was cut into 3 sections. I followed directions I found on the internet, measured and cut with a bread knife. Super easy!!! I put on the stretchy cushion covers (also from Amazon I already had), and wow! The couch is now comfortable, plush, and completely renewed. Would totally do this again!

I ordered this to cut to size and replace sofa cushions. Best decision all week. Should have done it sooner. I'm going to take a nap on my sofa now.

I had read several reviews of other foam mattresses being thinner than claimed. Not so with this item - the mattress had reached full thickness within 24 hours and was the proper height. The mattress is firm and comfortable and regains its shape quickly.
