If you need an ethernet cable, just for improving Internet speed, then get Cat6.But this Cat8 has stabilised my latency. I use an xbox series x. And for some reason my latency has suddenly started bouncing around. This Cat8 has stabilised it.Worth the buy, to future proof.

This product (VENTION Ethernet Cable, Cat 8 Network RJ45 SFTP LAN Patch Cable Support High-Speed 25Gbps 2000MHz...) is excellent. After some search on amazon, I've found this one. Received it the following day. After connecting to my laptop, it's a "wow" - I can visibly see the difference in the speed compared with my old cable. The e-mail, Internet and data transfer to the cloud drive, all appeared faster than the old Ethernet cable. So I give it 5 stars. Very happy with it and highly recommend it. By the way, I've also ordered the "TECKNET USB C to Ethernet Adapter USB Type C to RJ45 10/100/1000Mbps Network LAN Wired Ethernet Adapter..." to connect this Ethernet cable with my MackBook Pro. After some search I believe it's a high speed adapter, and it's turned out to support this Ethernet cable well. All these are based on my eye observations without scientific instrument's test.

Bought to contact PS5 to router. Instantly noticed faster loading times for games, software updates, etc. Bit overkill for a 1GB ethernet, but future proofed. Worked perfectly so far.
