CURRENT USA Dual Adjustable Aquarium Light Arm Mount Kit

I love the look of this mount, it’s very high quality and durable and fits both my rimmed and rimless tanks. However, I am the idiot who does not measure before buying and my lights are 4inches wide instead of 3.5inches. If this it you, don’t click away yet, it’s a pretty simple fix. As others have stated a heat gun can be used to make the plastic clips more pliable and bend them to fit your lights. A heat gun wasn’t something I had though. What I did is hold it to my stove with some pliers and use them to warp the clip to the right size. Don’t hold it directly on the flame/element but have it heat the same way and now I have the perfect fit. The only changes I’d like to see is either an adjustable clip or multiple sizes included. The instructions were a bit confusing but it didn’t take me long to figure it out. I’ll buy more when I set up more aquariums.

Beware, there are two types of these light supports. One supports only one light (good for narrower tanks) and one for holding two lights, or one further out toward the center of the tank. I had to return the one I bought here and go shop for the XL model in town, but I do own two of them and can say I'm very pleased with their functionality. Or tank is a 24 wide... Get the XL model for anything wider than about 18 inches ( front to back) or your lighting will fall on the back of the tank and not the center of your tank. The XL also comes with the ability to hold two different lights and you can adjust the width of the bracket even with two lights, so you can reach across the top of a 36 in tank and get a reasonable amount of light throughout. For each model, there are two plastic bricks with two sided tape to help you apply this to a rimmed tank, you can skip them on a rimless tank. You might apply them on a rimless acrylic tank just to avoid screw marks. You get three set heights for the light, to set it higher off the tank or closer to the tank. The height is up to about 5 inches on my setup, but could vary based on the configuration of your tank. First, put the mounts on your light and then slide the support on and tighten it well. If your tank is wider than about 20 inches, you would probably do best to buy two so it holds the light steady, and will likely need two of you are using a tank with a rim that has a center support, because you don't want the light to be held off center and out of balance unless you wish to play chicken with electricuting your fish accidentally.. Not because the light falls off, but more because the support can tilt if it isn't tight. If you are smarter than me, put this on before you fill your tank and have to hang over the water trying to get it set up. We shirts are only fun in movies. Enjoy!

Great product that works with different lights. Solid and nice design. It comes with different size hooks that adapt to different lights however not with all of them.

Likes: First off I have to state that Amazon shipped it quickly and the product I received was in perfect condition. Now on to the product itself. Out of the boxes it was well packaged and came with extra hardware that I didnt need but was good to have just in case. The adjustment screws are plastic as everyone else has stated but the construction was pretty solid. I was able to loosen and tighten with ease and made sure to use adequate pressure so as not to strip them. Key note, I do have a rimmed tank and at first I thought it was not going to fit, but after angeling it a little I was able to squeeze it onto the rim so with that being said, it is a very tight fit and very slightly bends the rim a little but not to the point that I am worried about damaging it. I have a 75 gallon tank and the lights I have are pretty long, so I went with two brackets instead of one. This was the right choice, so i am not worried about sagging lights. As you can see in the picture, they line up almost perfectly and do present a slim profile. Also the fact that everything is adjustable, means that I can possible use it for future tanks but the brackets fit mine perfectly and does not hang over the tank. Honestly the only issue I have with the product is the sturdiness and possibly the height. It wiggles a little when touched and at the highest level, it will be interesting getting in and out of the tank because I am not taking the brackets on and off. All in all, I think it makes the tank look beautiful and takes the lights from sitting directly on top of the tank which was then end goal anyway.

I really like these. Work great on my 75 gallon aqueon. Little pricey but worth it if it’s the aesthetic you’re going for.

This bracket is great other than the fact that the screws do not tighten enough to fit a smaller tank. I went to the hardware store and picked up some M8 1.25 x 35 screws that were longer to fix this issue. For $2, this was a good enough fix for me. I like the look of it and the arm is made of metal and seems very sturdy. I would give 5 stars if multiple lengths of screws were provided.

I wasn't really sure if this unit would work with my current USA "pro" as most of the reviews were in regards of the regular Orbit, but after I got this in I realized that it was also made to fit the PRO. The only difference is that you will have to mount the lighting using the fixture's screws and not the plastic mount that comes with it. By the way, the picture advertised here shows it upside down as the top part is what you actually mount to the tank. I was also a little skeptical about mounting it directly to the tank as I have a plastic rim on it, but after playing with it for a little while I found a way to mount it very firmly to it. You just have to unscrew the plastic from the aluminum mount and put it backwards where the plastic screws face the tank. Also most of the screws are made of plastic, so be careful tightening them or you could ruin it. When I first read that I was made thinking it was a bad idea to have plastic screws, but that is to prevent any possible rusting. Again, everything mounts very firmly and it will secure your lights with no problem at all. Overall great quality product. I love how it looks. I'm considering buying another set for my smaller tank as I love this lights.

I needed a way to raise my Fluval 3.0 plant light into the air because the 6500k light was melting my floaters. After reading some reviews and trying to find anyone who had found a way to mount this particular light I just went for it. These mounting arms are perfect with the addition of buying the “Fluval Suspension Bracket” ($5) on Etsy. Overall I’m extremely happy with my purchase. These arms fit my 10 gallon (pictured) and also fit my rimmed 55 gallon but barely. I will say the plastic screws are a bit difficult to screw on and you will need a screw driver and some forearm strength. TL:DR/ Fluval Plant 3.0 light plus Etsy bracket = problem solved

Very good solution to elevate Current USA light strip(s). Provides stability and completely adjustable. I use two to hold a 48" Satellite Plus Pro over a 5 foot long 100 gallon tank. Brackets fit over the tank nylon frame without issue. I may add a second light strip and the mounts should hold both with ease although there is some shakiness in the arms themselves with the weight of the strips. No big deal unless bumped. These also make for easier access to tank lid removal since the light is elevated. This particular tank is built into a wall opening and the arm length stops just short of hitting the back wall. I'm happy with this kit and really recommend it as opposed to just sitting the light strip on top of the tank.

This is a great, well made bracket. Easy to install and adjust. I made the mistake of thinking it will fit any led lamp bar, and ordered it for my JC&P led lamp. My lamp was too wide for the lamp clips. I could not think of a modification to make it fit, and had to return it. I recommend buying this bracket, but only for the led lamps they say its for.
