Le Creuset Signature Stainless Steel Knob, Medium

Perfect switch! Needed to use enameled casserole in oven at a high temp, but couldn’t due to original plastic handles. Googled and found out a metal version was made so looked on Amazon and, sure enough, they exist! I found some that were iridescent and looked sharp on my pots (I changed them all!). Easy to put on. And now I can cook and bake in the oven with my coveted Le Creuset pieces.

This knob is very pretty. It’s made identical to the original using light weight stainless steel, so it doesn’t alter or improve the function of the oven. It is just as heat resistant as the original and has withstood a 450-degree oven temperature for more that an hour. This is identical to the original except that it’s anodized with color which should hold up to time and use. Installation is straightforward- unscrew the original and screw this knob on (the knob does come with a new screw). This is made in China, just like the original (just the cast iron portion of the oven is made in France). This should last as long the original would.

Awesome upgrade for my vintage green le creuset Dutch oven! Decided on the gold knob to compliment the green. The gold knob has held up well to heat and a great upgrade from original plastic knob. Great value imo for an heirloom keepsake piece and kitchen workhorse. Matches well and no issues. I’d recommend measuring your pot and potential knob before ordering to get an idea on size.

The gold knobs are just perfect with the LC Artichaut colorway. They’re easy to fit with the included screw, they’re lightweight but solid just like the original stainless, and for under $30 add a special compliment to heirloom pieces for a good price. *I had a really hard time finding this information and primarily added a review to share that the LC Bread Oven and 3.5 qt. braiser knobs are a size Large, the same as the ones that fit the 6-8 qt. ovens.

Now I can bake my artisan breads at high temperatures and not worry about the handle. A must have.

Overall very happy with my purchase. Easy to replace. Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because it feels hollow, it’s not solid. And for the price I paid I figured it would be? When I saw it was a frequently returned item I was nervous to purchase at first, but like I said before I am overall very pleased. Before and after pics. Definitely elevated the look!

I've had multiple Le Creuset pieces for many years. I never used them in high heat until I started to bake sourdough bread. I realized that the knob for my 6 qt'ish Dutch oven was only rated to 380 degrees. These knobs are pretty pricey on the manufacturer's site, but luckily Amazon carries them. I ordered a large stainless knob and it was delivered before I woke up the next morning. It came in the sealed Le Creuset orange manufacturer's packaging. It was a quick replacement with the provided screw.

My dutch oven is mostly being used for sourdough and the black handle I had on it broke. Probably due to high temperatures. I therefore thought it best to replace it with a metal handle and this was really easy to replace and fit.

Much better than the old builtin handle

Expensive but quality, stainless steel, oven proof and a good comfortable grip when handling the lid.
