Clearly thicker and heavier duty than the other bags I had been using. I walk my dog 3 times a day and she poops 3 times a day. Now that it is cold, I wear thick gloves. It is hard to deal with the poop bag with the gloves, after doggy does her business so put the bag in my coat pocket. I was worried about the flimsy bags I had been using. But these HOundscoop bags are clearly better. Downside is having to buy a case to be cost effective. On the other hand, a case lot is actually no more expensive on a per bag basis than the flimsy bags I had been using.

They are sturdy. Easy to use. Decent size, leak proof bags. Great value for your buck. Will buy again. No problems, they work great.

These are nice poop bags. They’re not super thick, but they are thicker than some of the lesser quality bags. Also, they’re opaque, not translucent, so you don’t have to look at the poop in your hand while you walk home. They are also a little larger than some other bags which means there’s plenty of “tail” on the bag that you can use to easily tie a knot in it after it’s loaded. They don’t seem to have a scent, which I like. I hate a pocket full of perfume, plus perfume and poop don’t really combine in a pleasing way. The only downside to these bags—which isn’t an issue for me—is that they seem to be designed for the kind of dispensers you find in parks and along trails. A roll of bags is not compact enough to carry with you, but you can easily shove a few in a pocket, or a dozen in a baggie.

I live in a condo complex that provides free poop bags at our dog stations—but most of the time, they’re flimsy and tear easily (not what you want in that moment). For a while, they stocked Houndscoop bags instead, and I was so impressed. They’re thicker, more durable, and don’t leave you worried about any, uh… surprises. When they stopped refilling with Houndscoop, I didn’t want to go back to the cheap stuff, so I bought a case myself. Totally worth it. These bags feel reliable and are easy to tear off and tie. I also appreciate that they’re environmentally friendlier than standard plastic. If you’re tired of sketchy poop bags, just get these. Your hands will thank you.
