Expensive - but worth it
I bought a cheaper snubber and it cut into my 5/8 lines. This one works much better. with 3 wraps it has an unexpected amout of stretch. This is my second.

Works like it should
I've used a couple of these for a season (Michigan) now, and have had no problems. I wonder if some of the negative reviews might have been based on the user wrapping the line incorrectly.

This worked well for the short lines, too. After testing ...
This worked well for the short lines. I am testing this snubber along side a Dock Edge. In the beginning, I prefer the Dock Edge for ease of installation and quality thicker shaft. Both snubbers have helped ease tension and stress on our lines in our heavy surge dock area.I have on my 47' sailboat docked in a heavy surge marina. The Dock Edge was easier to work with and longer than the comparable Taylor Made 5/8 dock snubber. I have a pair of each on my lines, but so far the quality, size and easy of use make the Dock Edge snubber better for my purpose.Six months after installation, Dock Edge is still doing well but is stating to show potential issues. The top loop on one of the Dock Edge snubbers split open, although it still holds the line fine. There also seems to be some wear on the shaft from lines tightening during surge loads. The comparable Taylor Made snubbers seem to look brand new after six months, handling the surge well. The past six month have had mild/medium surge to occasional heavy surge moments in our marina. Now that summer is starting, the surge frequency and tension is intensified. I will update as I learn more, but I am thinking the Taylor Made will last longer.

Glad to be 'snubbed'
The snub has worked just as needed and expected. Taylor Made products have served us so well in our 33 years of boating, and this one is no different!

Great snubbers!!
These are the GOODS!! saves our boat lines and keeps the boat in the center of a very much rocking dock. Love em!!

Quality is inconsistent
The quality of these are a real crapshoot. Bought three Taylor Made 308 snubbers a couple months ago to secure 26’ sailboat. They appear to be holding up well. They definitely improve shock to dock lines and cleats while smoothing out on board living at dock. I ordered a 4th snubber which was received two weeks ago. It already torn in half at end and is now useless. We have had serious wind or wave action at my marina over this time.

Replacement snubber broke in less than 10 knots of wind!!!
Second snubber failed after two days in less than 10 knots of wind. Amazon replaced the first snubber and the replacement simply didn't last. I would look elsewhere!

Pricey, but good quality.
These are a bit pricey, but otherwise good quality line snubbers. They are required equipment for our boat due to the wakes that buffet the boat on busy weekends. The dock lines, cleats on the boat and dock would have a seriously shortened lifespan without these.
