Great stuff easy to work with, takes a bit to seal once packed no more leaks

This packing is great. It brings old fashioned stuffing boxes into the 21st century.Gone are the days of constantly adjusting the packing to keep a manageable drip, drip, drip going.It's so slippery and heat conductive that I can adjust the packing gland to make it virtually dripless without worrying about heating up or scoring the shaft.This packing in an old school stuffing box is more reliable, trouble-free, and long-term durable than dripless rotary shaft seals.

I needed to replace the packing on our 40' sailboat. The prop shaft is 1 1/8" diameter so I ordered the 1/4" packing. It was easy to work with, easy to cut (with a sharp knife), and easy to mold into the stuffing box.My stuffing box could only take three wraps, so even after ordering the smallest length I have enough product left to repack another two or three times.
