Good glass cutter but............
No complaints about the way this cuts glass. Just remember to always leave it upright when not in use. If you don't it will leak, become really messy & waste your cutting oil

Fiddly but does the basics ok, just steer clear of thick or squared glass
Works ok for normal wine bottles as glass is thin. I found it harder on jam jars, prosecco bottles and anything with thick edges as the blade doesn't score that well. It's fiddly and hard to keep similar constant pressure whilst turning the bottle (esp if it's a tapered neck or hexagonal jam jar for example). I found the allan key frustrating to use as there really isn't much room to manoeuvre it and there's no instruction as to what position the rollers should be in so I just moved them to where I thought it felt good but then couldn't be bothered to try and tighten them in place each time. So you have to have a steady hand and use even pressure.Overall it's ok and does the basics ok, just steer clear of anything more complicated than a beer or normal wine bottle. Or be prepared to practice with lots of mistakes on thicker glass? Shame as I bought this one having read it works well on square bottles and I wanted to try it out on some decorative gin bottles I have - but I won't be risking this now.Kit comes with a glass cutter 'pen', a tool you can tap the glass with, gloves, some wet & dry paper (which I wasn't expecting but was great) and some basic instructions (but not what to do with the pen and tapping tool - thankfully I had done some glass cutting previously so I recognised what to do with these tools). With the thicker/hexagonal shaped jam jar and the thicker prosecco bottle I ended up loosing patience and rather than pouring boiling water over the score line and dunking it in cold water, I actually filled the bottle/jar with boiling water and then put the whole thing in cold water - BUT although it finally made the glass come apart it wasn't necessarily along the score line. The prosecco bottle bottom came off and the jar broke in a different place (above the score line).Tip: I tried putting the wine bottle top over a tealight candle but the glass got very hot so I don't think that is safe. Maybe you need to cut the bottle further down so there is more air inside?

Not great but OK
It is a handy piece of kit to own, but very ‘Heath Robinson’ in some ways. It takes a long time to adjust for different bottle sizes; fiddly and made more awkward by too much powder coating inside the Allen key holes. Also it isn’t really designed to cut small bottles, the cutting wheel just isn’t able to move, so if you can’t line the bottle side up with the wheel where you want to cut, your stuffed. It also comes with a separate glass cutter designed for flat glass cutting, a few sheets of fine gauge sandpaper which are too small to be of any use, another metal pen with a rubber end which I am yet to find a use for, and a pair of gripping gloves that are the only accessory in my opinion needed apart from the rubber bands. It’s almost as if they have put as many useless accessories in with the item as possible to make up for the dubious product. That said, it is good for cutting standard wine bottles. It’s just not great. I’d give it 5 out of 10.

It worked for me
Came with two cutting wheels, selected the wheel for thicker glass, and scribed the thick Georgian wire glass with ease.Tapped the reverse side using the handle to complete the cut and vola a perfect cut.

Works well
Ordered for a friend who sculpts glass. I watched her use this and she was very impressed with it. The glass cut first time and broke apart when gently knocked. A bit tricky getting the oil flow right but it comes with practice.

Brilliant!
Love this cutter! Ideal for me with my arthritic hand. I feel as if I have more control when I cut.

Good but needs 2 people one to hold bottle and one to poor water
Very good but needs 2 people to do well enough. Need to practice on old bottles you don’t want first .

Good cutter
Works well. A long run of oil wick fell out, drawn out by the cutter wheel but left sufficient to trail oil onto the cutter.
