Bee-proof, and prettier than your average feeder
We have quite a few feeders around our house, but many get covered with bees when flowers are scarce. I wanted something to put outside my kitchen window that wouldn't attract bees and, because it is visible from the street, would add a little panache to my tree. This is a lovely feeder, and it definitely doesn't attract bees! The hummers found it after about 3 hours on day 1, and haven't had any issue finding it since then (in fact, the one in the picture has sort of taken it over and guards it from other male birds when they come🤦🏼♀️). It is really pretty--I was a little disappointed at the dullness of the hummer ornament and thought I had received a dud until I read the other review where someone said it's supposed to be that way--but the copper wrapped around the little plastic cups is shiny and lovely. All things being equal I would prefer a shiny ornament, but this will do. I was bummed that there are no perches because this is my entertainment while I'm doing dishes, but they just stand on the edge of the cups. The cups are small and plastic, with plastic lids that screw off. They're easy to clean and fill (you can likely throw them in the dishwasher on the top-rack, but they clean easily with vinegar and water). We replace the nectar daily (they usually drink all we put out anyway), and they come buzzing around my husband as soon as he steps out the door with it.We have no major complaints about this. It's easy to use, the birds seem to like it, and best of all...no bees! I have a few other copper items from this company that I got through the Vine program (not this one), and they've all been top-notch and still look great, so I am optimistic that this will stay nice as well. It's also reasonably priced considering the quality of the materials.I do recommend hanging this near a feeder they already use at first (if you have birds who regularly frequent your house) before moving it to another spot. As soon as a couple braved the newness and fed from it, we moved it to the other side of the house and it didn't take long for them to find it.

Cute and Perfect for My Purposes
I needed a small feeder as an option when hummingbirds get bullied from my main feeder in front ans back yards.

Has virtually eliminated ants from my hummingbird feeders
As the title states -- this thing does work.It being copper means that it will withstand the elements. I live in Arizona, and this thing has been sitting in direct sunlight for a year since I purchased it.I added a small bit of vegetable oil to the moat, and pretty much just left it alone. Since then, I've had *zero* issues with ants reaching my hummingbird feeder. The Amazon listing's images portray it with a smaller hummingbird feeders that the store also sells, which may cause buyers to assume that it's not sturdy enough for larger feeders.Let me be clear though: I bought this to hang a full-sized bottle-style hummingbird feeder. It's shown no real signs of wear in the nearly year I've been using it.As an interesting note: any vegetable oil you leave in this thing will cause some oxidation, turning the oil a blueish green color.

HAPPY me! Happy HummingBirds
The media could not be loaded. I am Happy! First Day no hummingbirds on the feeders, and i am not a very patience person! Just when I started to feel sad, next day hummingbirds found the feeders. I have 2 on each side. the 3rd one is going to the middle. too much since it is on a patio? Maybe but I cant help it! Love this! love copper so this is a plus! I added the top one because i didnt want the feeder too close to the ceiling and it also added an extra copper sighting for the hummingbirds and it look great! Also, because of the plastic inside, no rust for the birds. Though i will love it more if you made the plastic into glass.I dont write reviews, but something that makes me this happy, I should right!Sorry i am going to give 4 stars because of the plastic. I think you have room to grow. for those who dont mind plastic it is a 5 stars!

Best hummingbird feeder
I have used a lot of different feeders: large, small, perch less, perched, real red glass, fake red glass, multicolored glass, multi portals, some portals. So here in Arizona where we have hummers all year I will attest this to be the best feeder. The feeder’s one small hole is well liked by hummers, the red plastic top is enough to attract them, they are easy to keep clean. However there are 2 things to know: use an ant guard and keep it filled with water And in the fall take the feeders down at night or the bats will eat every bit of the sugar water. Also don’t ever use red dye.

Love it!
Love this bc the feeder is small enough that I don’t waste nectar since I replace it every 3 days.

Quaint, cute, but maybe inadequate.
I was surprised when opening the Amazon package with this hummingbird feeder in it, at how small it is. It is very small. That's not necessarily so bad. It is made of copper, and that's a big plus, but I have a feeling that once the birds find it and begin to come by regularly, I'll regret the purchase. This feeder holds only a few ounces of mixed nectar. It's a tiny container in the copper housing.I think I must have missed that fact when I ordered. It is very cute, and I like the appearance. Copper is a fine material for a bird feeder. It's just really, really small.Update-- 25 May, 2024: After hanging this feeder a couple of weeks ago, of course I had to wait for the hummingbirds to find it, which they did, since they're smart little creatures! And after using the feeder regularly, I can tell you all that the small size, both of the nectar reservoir and the whole assembly, isn't a problem at all. Hummingbirds sip a small amount of nectar very frequently, and besides that, having a small amount in the little tank means I refresh the nectar as I should. Every three days is advised. So, this little feeder has turned out to be very nice, and it's quite attractive, and priced very reasonably-- much better than most.

Copper is Stunning!
I purchased a copper Ant Moat to go with this and it should adds a 'touch of class' to my Bird Feeding Station. Right now I am putting Grape Jelly in the little Hummingbird Feeder cup rather than the lid and sugar water. We do not get many Hummingbirds but we do get families of Baltimore Orioles!

They WILL find it!!!!
Loved the look of this with the metal sculpture. But I wondered if the birds would figure out the feeding method. They did. Much to my joy.. great product, love the artistic and the practical combination.

I might replace all my feeders with these ones. They're attractive, easy to clean, easy to fill and the birds love them.

Functional and lovely!
Sealed perfectly, no dripping issues (purchased 3). They look artisan-made, and are sturdy and thick. Looking forward to them developing a patina.
