FRYING CAP Grease Splatter Guard - Paper Splatter Screen for Frying Pan (50pcs)

I read the other reviews and I keep thinking they must have received a different product, except mine is clearly labeled as the frying cap. First off, it is not that easy to put together. It is a thin piece of cardboard that you need to adjust to the size of your frying pan (which is surprisingly difficult). Once I assembled for the correct size, it still did not fit within the pans it was labeled for. Once I had placed it over the pan of oil I discovered I would have to remove it because of this- when pulling on the handle, the cap completely fell apart, with one end going into the oil and then rebounding onto the stove. This caused a grease fire that was difficult to put out and scared me to death... in spite of positive reviews, I hope you will consider that I am hardly assembly incompetent yet the fire happened anyway. Avoid unless you're willing to take that risk!

Because the food in the pan was completely hidden, I needed to remove the covers often to check on the cooking progress. The "lock" of the cone cover is very loose, so every time I removed the cone it either became very loose or just fell apart. I suppose I will use my remaining stock of covers as party hats, after I tape them securely.

I had trouble with the oil that splashed around every time I baked the fish. I bought a silicon cover product, but I was annoyed to get rid of the oil stain on the cover. Then I met this product and I had an amazing experience. This is a really groundbreaking product. The size of the frying pan was written on the product, so it was easy to fold. Using the product, it was very convenient to fry fish only in oil. It was not burdensome because it was cheap on one page. I think it is a must for people who often cook cooking oil. Be sure to buy this product and try it out.

This product satisfied me in a lot of different categories. I don't know who came out with this idea but it can fit into any size of frying pans because it is a simple paper you can adjust its size. And then it was safe. I was worried about it getting burnt, but it didn't. I think I can reuse it a few more times until it is really soaked with grease. And because it was super light, it was way more easier to lift it and flip my egg than heavy original lid. It was very satisfying to see the oil splattering on the surface and leaving marks, as I realize how dirty was my kitchen with oil spills before. Thumbs up!

So we have a van that we camp in, not full time living and for some reason the person that did the conversion put the stove way to close to the elevated bed - maybe 4 inches max from the mattress. We thought we would never need the inside cook top, however this past weekend the wind was so bad that we were unable to cook outside and had our maiden voyage with the cook top. Thank goodness I had these splatter guards. We had a small 8 inch skillet for two chicken thighs (with olive oil) and for sure the bed sheets (I pulled the other bedding back) and wall would have been coated with cooking splatters if not for for these little disposable paper wonders. They fit many sizes - easily adjust, the adjustment point makes into a handle for easily checking your items and they don't fall apart during use. Done cooking and it easily folds up and goes in the trash bin. Perfect - will be buying more.

I have bought my fair share of splatter guards over the years. From the cheap ones from dollar store to expensive ones with fine mesh and silicone rims. This grease splatter guard did way better than any of those traditional splatter guard. It is easy to assemble to fit the size of your pans. Note, it must sit just inside the pan to be effective.. You still still get splatter but way less than other splatter guards. TI love that steam shoots straight out from the 'chimney'. So rewarding knowing I am searing and not steaming my food. I was initially worried about the paper burning but it did not. It gets charred around the rim that was touching the pan but none burned. I even re-use one hat for 3 times before I dispose of it. You can wipe off the inside after cooking if you want to reuse the hat. Definitely getting more of these when I need more.

I won't go back to using anything else. Easy to size and blocks a lot more grease or liquid splatter than the traditional mesh covers. Plus, you get to throw it away when you're finished with it, so there's no cleanup.
