This album is a classic. Billy Joel's vocal is recorded so great, that it's hard to do bether.The recording is fantastic. Lots of my favorite recordings are from 70's early 80's. My mother played this record a lot. I never had it on CD, but bought the SACD sice I remember it was some great songs on it. Another reason is that I like to buy SACD's (sad it's so little titles out on this format)I can't compare to CD sound, and only play it in 2 channel. Don't have or wan't to listen to music 5.1. I like music 2 channel with my fantastic proac response D25 and Rel stadium III sub. The only album I liked 5.1 was Dark side of the moon. The other SACD's I have heard is a mess!! who wan't drums and guitars in the surround speakers. If you have a great hi-fi settup, you will easy fill the room with sound, in a much more realistic way than 5.1.

Purchased this for my 16 ye3ar old granddaughter who is really into her vinyl and she had requested this album for Christmas. it took longer to arrive than expected, but I was kept informed by seller.Arrived well packaged. She loves it!

Great value for money

all tracks brilliant, shows what a great song writer billy is .Excellent reproduction on 180gm vinyl.

At first I wasn't quite sure of the added value of the SACD, but then upon hearing my older CDs I realised - the vocals really pop out on this one. They have depth, nuance and a dynamic range far better than previous versions. Terrific.

I know purists probably love this CD as it is a faithful copy of the original, and as such is very nice.However I have bought a number of duplicate CD's in recent years because the re-mastering process seems to have enhanced the bass. This did not happen on this recording. This is the first time I have actually had to find the bass control on my amplifier and turn it up.
