Algoma Net 2937DL Quilted Hammock w/Matching Pillow, 500 lbs. Cap /13' L, Blue

I did some research on hammocks and Algoma seemed to be a good option. Their website says "The Algoma family of all-American crafted products is recognized for its quality, styling and value." So I figured they were made in the USA. I found one option here on Amazon (red and blue striped, quilted hammock) that was made in the USA, so I assumed they all were, based on the website's description. Plus, we all know how unclear Amazon descriptions are sometimes. This is why we ask all these questions about the products, because the description doesn't tell you all the details.I bought the one I wanted (this one, green and yellow) and I received it promptly. But to my disappointment, it was made in China. I sent it back immediately.I then called Algoma and talked to a very nice person. He told me that about half were made domestically and half over seas. OK, then, that sounds reasonable. I confirmed the one made in the USA (red and blue striped, quilted hammock) and bought it. The guy also told me that their website is being redone, which is great. They need to explicitly declare which models are made in the USA and which are not, so that's why the rating is low here. I'll likely rate the next one higher.

I used chains to attach this to my wash line posts I was never going to hang laundry on. It has a bit of a stain on it upon arrival. I already broke down the box and it's too big to send back. I'll try to clean it off probably. Nice vibrant colors. I wish it didn't arrive dirty.

This is a very well made hammock. It ships way faster than the initial estimate. It came in one week and that was after UPS sent it to the wrong side of the country. Beautiful colors and very sturdy.

Great product, great material, the colors are nice and bright.. would definitely buy again but hope this will last next 3-5 years like my last one.. seems like it will.. I’m happy with my purchase
