Spending more won't get you a better experience. And you'll only lose by spending less.
I know there are more expensive keyboards. I know there is endless variety and a vast array of aesthetic options.A lot of it is just pointless luxury, and it ends up being delicate or just impractical.I've not spent on a real quality keyboard in a long time, so take that into consideration. I know that I've not experienced the full spectrum of functionality here. But I DO have experience with highly loved and acclaimed keyboards like those classic IBM mechanical and older Apple Macintosh keyboards. In terms of action, this is just as good. It's solid -- in fact, this thing is surprisingly heavy. The switches feel incredibly precise and sturdy. It is a good, solid device. Unlike the venerable IBM keyboards of yore, this unit does not waste any desk space with pointless structural flourishes. For being a good full-sized keyboard with terrific action, it certainly does mind its place. It never gets in the way. Form follows function. This is comfortable and pleasing. Good tools should not get in the way of doing a job. This keyboard is never in my way.I've also had cheap keyboards. You know -- the ones that you can get in places that rhyme with MallWart. I've HAD cheap keyboards. Past tense. And, trust me, it is simply not wise to save money by sacrificing a good keyboard.I've also gotten plastic monstrosities priced in this range from major companies that love overpricing delicate junk. I've paid as much as this cost me for something that warped and had no weight. So, I have some perspective.I think this is my favorite keyboard. Period. The original Apple PowerMac keyboards come very close. But there is just something about this. And the cost of this thing is just shocking in light of that. In a good way. This is not, I admit it, a quiet keyboard. Like those venerable old IBM ps-2 mechanical keyboards, this is an effective and very pleasing keyboard that could probably also double as an exotic percussion instrument in a pinch. The point, is, while I never would do that, I could probably get away with it and still have a working unit. The fact of the matter is that for a good keyboarding experience -- one that isn't vague and squishy and one that has enough kinesthetic feedback for you to have a high degree of accuracy -- you need to make some noise. I happen to find this pleasant. If a clicky keyboard isn't appealing to you, then I'm afraid you'll have to settle for an imprecise one instead. That having been said, I have heard far, far louder keyboards. This is pleasant, I think. It's certainly not excessive and the feel of using it is worth a bit of clicking. The red backlighting is perfect for me. It won't blind you at night and isn't distracting in the day, but you can see exactly where things are. And aesthetically, this glowing red is superb. Firey. Warm. Even if I had full RBG functionality, I'd end up setting the color to red anyway.Altogether, you have to pay for quality. This thing is not a discount store special. That having been said, this thing has no business being as affordable as it is considering how good it is. I honestly don't think I'd pay for anything different. I just can't see why. Go cheaper, and the experience is miserable. Anything more expensive will be no better performing than this. If you like gimmicks, gold plating, or prestigious brand names, then you just like wasting money for junk. If you get sticker shock at this price, then you just aren't thinking about how awful cheap keyboards are and how they just love to fall apart -- never mind that using them will raise your blood pressure out of frustration. Either way, when you come to your senses, get this. THIS. Not something else. THIS.

Nice clicky and tactile feeling keys.
I've been using Redragon keyboards for the last few years, and they have always been a super solid choice, price to quality of materials is fantastic. Good RGB and the different modes it can be put in, the breathing mode looks pretty sweet.🤙🏻 Nice little volume wheel in the top right corner makes for good volume control. It has a few macro keys, but I don't generally use these, but should I need them, they're there. Also has media controls, have a decent feel when pushed. The way the switches are put on the keyboard, it makes for easy cleaning with no actual space under each key. Just spray it with compressed air and it's like new. Top tier product.

Really fantastic keyboard for the price.
To preface this review, I'm coming to this mechanical keyboard from a Logitech G110 multimedia board, which isn't mechanical. I don't know anything about the different types of switches, and this is my first truly mechanical keyboard. For this price, I was not expecting the level of quality that this item exudes. All the keys work perfectly, the whole board has a very reassuring heft to it, and the feel of the keys is really nice and consistent across the whole board. Lighting isn't perfectly even across the letters, but there aren't any dark spots that make them unreadable; light pours around from beneath the keycaps, which is a pleasant effect. The feet on the bottom are rubberized, which is such a welcome feature that I've never had with a keyboard before. They keep the board very firmly planted on my glass desktop. I really cannot overstate how nice this board feels. I don't know what kind of plastic is used in the construction of this thing, but it feels really high-end as far as plastics go. Pulling one of the keys off reveals that they are of very thick and solid casting. The board also comes with a little keycap puller, which is a nice inclusion, should you want to take all the keys off without damaging the switches. The following probably won't matter to any buyers, but I'll put it down anyways in case someone from the design department is reading this:The only thing I'm not 100% sold on with this keyboard is the bezel; I feel like after maybe a year of use or even just sitting and collecting dust, cleaning this board might be a bit tricky. All the keys come up and are removable, sure, but there's a little "ditch" of sorts where the edges of the deck under the keys and the raised sidewall come together that I can't imagine would be very easy to get a cleaning utensil into. It seems like a strange design decision when they could have just lowered the wall around the keys and let the deck roll off the side of the board. Doing something like this in the name of ease of cleaning would have been a really great inclusion. It's not a dealbreaker by any means, but as-is I'm not sure how easy it's going to be to get little particles of dust and stuff out from that ditch.UPDATE: 3/12/20After 2 years of heavy daily use, the "A" key started to fail intermittently. Everything else on the keyboard still works and looks new, but I'm going to have to retire it because I can't work with a key that registers only half the presses. 2 years of heavy use out of a keyboard for this price is actually pretty decent, so I'm only going to remove one star from my original rating. I'll vouch for Redragon products all day just because, for the price, the quality is great and the design is superb. If you're looking for an inexpensive gaming-oriented keyboard with backlighting, it's hard to beat Redragon's offerings in terms of price, quality, and features.

Great, clicky keyboard. Awesome price.
This is a great keyboard to type on. If you purchase this, know that it is LOUD. The videos on YouTube don't do it justise, the clicky noise is something that I enjoy, however I know some people who do not. This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I absolutely love the feel of the keys. I don't like the mushy feeling of a membrane keyboard, but this doesn't feel at all the same. It looks good, and the backlight is bright. The font needed some getting used to, however it is not overly dramatic or attention stealing. I enjoy the floating key look and the simple design. It is an awkward height to type on, however I got a wristpad with it that supports my wrists and makes it a joy to type on.

Mechanical Anti-ghosting Keyboard EXCELLENT FOR TYPISTS & GAMERS
I use a lot of computer products and peripherals. In fact, I burn through them on a regular basis. As an internet entrepreneur, a lot of my time is spent writing stuff and proofing things. The rest of my time goes into playing s**tload of PC games. Naturally keyboards are my weakness and I need something that types well but games even better.Redragon K551/K552/K553 are the only three mechanical keyboards you can get for less than Rs. 4000. I got this at a discount here and at the discounted price it was well worth the purchase.Let me begin by stating the cons first because there are cons with everything and these are personal, nothing to do with product design or build.1. The keys are pure mechanical and thus they are noisy as hell. Sorry but, if you are sensitive to noise and need a quiet keyboard, this is definitely the last keyboard to get. My Dad complains from the next room saying he can hear my keystrokes over the TV sound!2. Heavy as a couple of bricks! I travel with my mouse and keyboard because I spend a lot of timing typing. This keyboard is nearly 2kgs in weight because of its heavy metallic base. Great for sturdiness but not so great if you fly by air all the time. That's about it for the negatives. As for why you should get this keyboard...1. Cheapest full mechanical anti-ghosting keyboard. Nothing else comes close in terms of performance for the price you pay.2. My typing speed has indeed gone through the roof. I type in the conventional manner - full eight fingers and thumbs on the space bar. If anything the keyboard has increased my speed by at least 20 strokes per minute. Reason for this is that each key sounds different and there's no in-between keystroke. Either you hit a key or you don't. To put it into "Indian" perspective, it takes exactly 10 2 rupees coins to depress any key! But, be ready to bear the onslaught of key noises.3. The entire keyboard is backlit. I don't know if each key has its own light but to me it appears so even in the lowest light setting.Hope I have convinced you to spend on this keyboard. It has been two months since I have switched over to this keyboard and I will stick with Red Dragon always.PS: My first keyboard from Red Dragon was defective. The comma and smaller than sign, used extensively in HTML wasn't working! Every other key worked. It took three days for them to send in a replacement but they did send in one asap thanks to Amazon entirely.

Good keyboard, good quality, low cost.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of this keyboard. After spilling water on my Ducky Shine4, I replaced it with a Razor BlackWidow, but after only 2 months the "e" key stopped responding but Razor refused to factory replace it. I am sick of spending hundreds of dollars on what I thought were 'quality' mechanical keyboards. Enter the Red Dragon VARA. It's simple, the cherry blue switch equivalent responds exactly as it should, and the keyboard is a no-frills, no-gimmicks piece of hardware that will get the job done. I have no idea if this keyboard will hold up to the durability test as I've just received it, but so far so good. Things to note: The keyboard looks smaller and more compact, but the keycaps and spaces between the keys is exactly the same as any standard keyboard. The red keycap tool that comes with the keyboard works fine, but will actually scratch the keys if you're not careful. I don't use the red tool because of the scratching. The keyboard itself is sunk in a little bit, leaving a raised edge around the sides which is great for collecting dust, crumbs and cat hair, but otherwise just makes cleaning it a hassle. The font they chose for the numbers (number row and numpad) is just hideous, I can't get over the fact the "6" looks like a "G" but other then that, I really have no complaints. Good keyboard and good quality for low cost.

This keyboard is insanely awesome
I absolutely love this keyboard. Mind you this is a tenkeyless so it doesn’t have the number pad which is recommended for gaming.
