Q: I normally wear an XL in shirts like this - do they run true or are they kind of tight ??

My husbands wears an XL and it fight him a little loose.

Q: Is the shirt good to be ironed? Or sublimated (360 degrees Fahrenheit)?

You CAN iron it, but the material doesn't really need it, nor does it keep a "crisp press" appearance. The material is generally wrinkle free.

Q: Is that slot shown a pen slot?

It does have a pen slot, but it’s narrow.
