TimexMen's Expedition Atlantis 40mm Watch

Might be your most worn watch.
Great watch! Smaller than what a 40mm usually seems. Feels more like a 38mm but still wears well. 7 inch wrist. Fits nicely and great water resistance

$30 well spent
I haven't worn a digital watch in years. I have a Seiko automatic I wear to work events or anything where I feel like having a "dress" watch (it's not really a dress watch, but just a nice watch) but otherwise, basically rely on my cell phone for telling time and setting alarms.Recently, I've suddenly become interested in digital watches again. I remember how cool the Indiglo feature was on watches as a kid in the early 90s and started researching and comparing. I ended up purchasing one of the $99 Casio G-Shock watches with the solar and atomic clock radio features, and while it's definitely very cool, the wide square shape of the watch face and the curved resin wristband isn't comfortable for me to wear all day. So then I saw this one and figured for $30, it was worth giving it a shot. And I'm glad I did.First of all, the watch is very comfortable to wear all day -- which really should be the most important thing. I don't have super big wrists but also have had issues in the past with wrist sprains and mild tendinitis from typing all day at work and then painting and repairing my home on the evenings and weekends. The small, round watch face is very comfortable and sits well on my wrist. The band is admittedly very cheap and flimsy feeling, but again, $30 watch.I don't particularly care for stopwatch, timer, or alarm features from a digital wrist watch, but the Indiglo is so cool. Casio has stopped using electroluminescence in its watches and newer G-Shocks and similar Casios have a small LED that looks like the crappy old lights in cheaper digital watches from the 80s and 90s. It's disappointing to spend $100 on a new G-Shock to find out that the EL feature has been retired. However, this $30 Timex that feels more comfortable, fits better, and seems to be just as durable, has it.

Buttons from Hades
My previous two watches were both the Timex Expedition Atlantis with the metallic clasp band which needed to be readjusted when I gained/lost weight and which had an annoying habit of popping open. Still I liked the first one enough that I bought a second one after the band on the first one broke. Then the band on the second one broke and I'm not really doing anything to put significant stress on the bands. So I was happy when I discovered this one with the plastic band and the various holes so I can just readjust the tightness of the fit each time I put it on. The band however is kind of oddly designed and for some reason, while one half of the band will fold back over the watch, the other half of the band has some sort of triangular piece that prevents it from moving past about a 60 degree angle (measured from the face of the watch resting on a flat surface and then raising the band up). This unnecessarily and pointlessly makes the fit worse than it should be.That's mildly annoying. The buttons are extremely annoying.I was just now trying to set the alarm. To do so, I needed to push on the button with the butt of a pen. And even then it was hard to put enough pressure to get the buttons to react. Basically, all the functions (especially the stopwatch) are going to be unusable because of this. Since I was happy with the previous Timex, I was hoping that over time the buttons would become easier to push. They haven't. I now wish I had returned it.

4 Year Review: Long lasting reliable watch, slim low profile digital, still on the same battery
I've now owned this watch over 4 years and used almost daily. I've still never had to change the battery. I chose this because I wanted a digital watch that IS NOT bulky and fat like those G-shocks. This fit the bill and I like the look of it.My main number one gripe of this watch is that the damn buttons are so hard to press. Sometimes I'll even use a coin to prevent the button from stabbing my finger. I only ever really need to press the glow button and very rarely the mode button to set the time. The watchface has developed some scratches but I can still read the screen fine. I'll flip it to wrist down if I'm in a high risk area. Its been in rough environments too, from construction work to hiking to gym and just daily travel. Overall I'd say if you want a long lasting watch this is great for the price.

Very good looking accurate watch but,
As others have said buttons very hard to operate. I'm not sure if it's by design or if they released an abnormally tough run, but they do require intent and strength to push. On the bright side, you'll never (and I repeat NEVER) accidentally press the button and activate something. You have to try hard to push them intentionally, I don't think it's even possible to accidentally press one. The look and feel of the watch are great though and I think the band is actually better quality than most Casio bands. Overall the price increase over similar casios gets you - better light, nice slim profile, and a better band, as well as buttons that won't accidentally push (because they're so tough to lol)

Timex expedition indiglo
I don’t like the plastic bands on these types of watches. However, I am disappointed in the watch itself. The buttons are very hard to push and the indiglo doesn’t work as well as the previous indiglo watches I’ve had. I have to use something metal to push the “set” button in, because holding my finger on it for five or more seconds is very difficult. Not just because it hurts my finger, but it pushes into the skin and then isn’t pushed in far enough to connect and stops the counting, and I have to start over again. So, also, indiglo feature isn’t easy to use because you have to use all this extra effort to push the button for it to come on. Have had a Timex Aquarius for many many years. First one lasted me well over 10 years. It had a metal band with rubber links. After several years, the rubber would get old and they would end up breaking. It was hard to find a replacement band so when I was able to find one what I bought an extra and then my second Aquarius went out and I still had to band. I bought this one only because I figured it was about the same watch except for the cheap plastic band. I was able to put the good band on it.
