Great for muzzle loaders too
I have .32, .36, .44, and .50 caliber black powder muzzle loading rifles. I tried these on a whim, and have found they are fantastic! Since black powder cleans up with soap and water, Swab-its can be used and cleaned many times. It does take an 8-32 threaded cleaning rod (most M/L ramrods are 10-32). The variety pack covers all the sizes I need, and it saves on pre-cut cleaning patches.

Great for barrel cleaning. As good as patches - and much easier to use. Reusable and easy to clean.

the base of the pad (with the threads) breaks off inside your rod rendering the pad and your cleaning rod worthless because the threaded part is broken off inside the rod.... if ur ok with that they are great lil spongey things

Much easier than using cloth squares to clean. Highly recommend.
