A Good Solution To Your Storage Needs
This unit works exactly as advertised and certainly fills the need we had. It assembled and installed in less than an hour with 1 person, 2 people would make a few things easier but isn't necessary. All pieces were included and small items were packed in "zip lock" type baggies which suggests that the unit was at least partially hand-packed although one of the 4 "safety bolts" was found loose in the box.The biggest things to keep in mind with assembly/install are to make and mark your measurements for positioning the poles first and be sure to level the poles when you have them in position. You must assemble each pole with the shelf brackets installed before you position them and don't forget to use the rubber rings under each bracket, otherwise they will not stay in place while you are positioning the poles. The brackets can easily be re-positioned once the pole is in place. Be sure to hold on to the "upper pole" (the one inside the "lower pole") as you push the button to extend the pole to reach the ceiling otherwise you'll be starting this task again. Don't be afraid to put some vertical force on the pole once it is in contact with the ceiling as there is a spring in the "ceiling mount" piece that will give as you apply pressure. Finally, use the "safety bolts".It would be nice if they marked each of the 2 upper poles with scores or lines so that leveling the shelves was easier. To do it right you need a spirit (bubble) level. The shelves, being round poles, don't make for the most confident places to store items, so you really need to level the poles and shelves. There is no way to fix the length of the rods for the shelves once they are in place but have a nice system of attaching to the brackets so you can be confident they will stay put. It would be nice if the rods were square though. Also, the instructions mention that alternating the rods will enhance the strength of the shelf but I don't see how. The unit is nicely finished in white powder coat, the shelves are what you might refer to as "infinitely adjustable" vertically. After assembly and install, I've found the unit to be a bit wobbly both back and forth and to and fro which might be helped by making the rods of the shelves so you could set their length once installed. Overall, a decent solution which solves a storage problem.

Nice adjustable shelf unit
I like this shelf unit. It's a nice size & works great in my laundry room over top of my two extra-large cat litter boxes. I love that the shelves are adjustable in width and height to fit my needs. The instructions are ONLY pictures, no words, and were somewhat difficult to understand. There were numbers next to some of the items in the pictures and I never did figure out exactly what the numbers were for, or why they were there. My 21 yr. old daughter couldn't figure it out either, and she's super smart. lol! The unit is wobbly & I wouldn't dare put anything heavy or valuable on it. And as other reviewers have said, it was quite difficult to get the shelves level! If the company had put lines or some kind of markings on the poles, it would've greatly helped to know you're placing the black shelf holders in equal spots. I used a tape measure, and it was still pretty hard to get the shelf holders to line up with each other on each side. I never did get it totally right after a long time trying.I wish there was an option to purchase extra shelves for this particular unit. The price seems high for what you get, but the poles feel thick, solid, and strong, and I like the color and texture of them. The suction cups on the bottom and top have held securely on my vinyl floor and popcorn ceiling. The poles wobble, but they've been up a couple weeks and have held well.Overall, this shelf unit works good for what I needed in order to have more storage (for empty boxes and whatnot) in my small apartment, and I'm glad I bought it.

Hold more weight than it looks!
I keep heavy detergent jugs and bleach jugs and all my cleaning chemicals on this and it is very sturdy! I was worried because from the photos I wondered how sturdy it actually was. I doesn’t disappoint! Because the shelves are rows of metals polesAnd height adjustable I use shower curtain hooks and hang things below the shelves as well like spray bottles (hung by their triggers).

Just what I've been looking for
Have been searching for free standing shelves to put over my top loading washing machine. This pole setup allows adjustments that allow this to work very well. I can align the shelves to clear opening of the washing machine lid. Don't have to worry about the hoses in back with a cross beam at that location. When I opened the box, I thought that it might be hard to put together, but it wasn't. I just watched a you tube video of another Prince Hanger product being put together since the poles are assembled the same way. Easier for me than trying to decipher the written instructions. I did make a mistake when I was counting the items in the box and could not find one of the ceiling supports. Completed the return process and then of course I found it. Don't know how it rolled up under the chair I was sitting in. opps! Had to let them know that everything was fine after all. So delighted to have the extra storage.

Great unit if you install it before you put in the washer
I had a terrible time installing the shelving unit around my washer. Since tension is what makes the unit sturdy, it is very important when tightening the pole on either side that you are able to brace the bottom and push firmly upward before you tighten the back screw. With the pole in between a washer and dryer it is impossible to do that alone. I am not even sure if another person can help because there’s probably not enough room for both of you to push down and push up in the same space. I probably spent an hour trying to get the right side of the unit stable. I finally had to use cardboard stuffed underneath the top of the pole to stabilize it. What is frustrating is that the components of the unit are high-quality and sturdy, but if you can’t lock the polls in place that becomes irrelevant. I am uncertain as to why there isn’t a spring mechanism inside the pole. I know these can wear her out but it would just be a good back up and ensure that when you initially in star you can get it tightened effectively. The struggle Is real.
