Cheaper than getting it done professionally with the same quality result
I got a giant floor chair (5 feet wide by 8 feet long) about 7 years ago that unfortunately my cat peed on. It soaked into the original foam, so the smell was impossible to cover. I had to empty the entire chair. Now that I have a new condo with the space, I decided to restuff my chair. Every upholstery place I went to wanted around $200, so of course I came to Amazon to find the cost to do it myself. That's when I found Jaxx. I ordered one 25 pound bag of foam, knowing it wouldn't be enough, but wanting to see how much it filled the chair. The shipping estimate was around 2 weeks, but it actually came within a week! The entire 25 pound bag filled my chair about 2/3rds full, and even with only that much inside it was still comfortable enough that I could sleep on it. I ordered a second 25 pound bag of foam, and this one came even faster, on top of being the week before Christmas! I finished stuffing the chair and it's ottoman, with plenty of foam left over for future uses. The chair is so comfortable I sleep on it about 2 or 3 nights a week just for the heck of it.The foam does take time to expand. It's amazing how they cram so much into such a small package. It's super static-y too, so be prepared for a mess to clean up afterwards. It's well worth it though, as the foam is of high quality and seems durable. I've only had my chair stuffed for about 2 weeks now, so if I remember I'll edit this in a few months, but so far I couldn't be happier to have my favorite chair all nice and refilled with comfy foam.

10# review
I debated over getting the 5# or 10# size to re-loft my daughter's Big Joe Milano beanbag, which had pancaked after a year or so. I'm glad I went for the 10# bag, because I used every bit of it. This stuff is highly compressed, and requires you to break big chunks off the block and place them into the beanbag. That's not to say this stuff is made of of big pieces... it isn't. The shredded description is accurate, but compressing them for shipment means you have to further break up the chunks once you put them into the beanbag. Therein lies the potential for a huge mess, which is why I refilled the bag in my garage.I'm certain if there is a Hell... refilling beanbags is the sort of punishment one might find there. That being said, the 10# size did the trick, plumping the beanbag up better then new. It seems like it added 20 pounds to the wight of the beanbag though...lol, but I did leave all the styrofoam in too. My kid is happy she can use the chair again, and since the shell looks like new... I feel it was a worthwhile investment that will hopefully last much longer than the original styrofoam pellets did.

Best foam and with no to little scent!
Just love this foam filling!!! I am VERY sensitive to scents and this did NOT smell, at ALL! the ONLY time it had ANY scent, was when I washed it and dried it on HOT (in a pillow I made) , and even then it only had a kind of off scent for a very short time. In fact, the pillow looked better after I washed and dried it (stuffing wise, seemed to balance out my stuffing job). I have used this to re-stuff the lumbar part of an old recliner and it has worked beautifully! It has been 5 months since I re-stuffed the chair, and it still acts like day 1! It hasn't stayed compressed or anything, it just looks like the chair was always the way it should have been. I am stuffing dog beds with it, little pillows, anything that needs a little bounce or padding! When I run out, I am definitely buying this again! It comes in a big fabric square that is lined with a plastic bag full of VERY compressed little pieces of shredded foam filling.if you only need a little bit of filling the FIRST time you use it, DO NOT open it all the way up or you will have a really hard time getting it closed again! (although you could STILL close the inner plastic bag to keep it sealed). The zipper runs over the top and down one side of it. The zipper works well and the fabric is really sturdy for keeping all the foam in. It's kind of like having block shaped (hard) bean bag waiting to fill your foam needs at a moments notice!I would HIGHLY recommend this product!

Plenty for 4 Big Joe Milanos, but messy
We had four Big Joe Milano bags that went flat within a few months of purchase. I knew we'd need to refill them but just not that soon. At an rate, I ordered the 25 lbs box, and it made such a huge difference. We stuffed those JB's full and still had some to spare. We did leave the existing beads int he chairs which may have helped just a touch (they would have been a nightmare to remove anyway). I think 5 lbs would have been just barley too little for one, so I'm glad we ended up with the 25 lb box.Words of warning: 1) do it in a tiled space or outdoors. This creates a massive mess. 2) Do it in an open space. Once the bag is opened, the expansion happens rather quick. 3) Work fast and prepare to get messy. I wouldn't do it in your nicest suit, paint clothes are a must.

Great bean bag filler!
Update after 18 month:We haven't needed to add any more filler at all to our beanbag in the year and a half after refilling with this, and it's still looking great. It's used by kids most days (often as a landing pad when jumping off of furniture), and by adults periodically (in the normal fashion of sitting on it). I'm really impressed.Original review:Nice foam! It's completely revitalized our bean bag chair, and it's even more comfortable than it was originally. The stuff sack it arrive in was nice a great way to keep the amount we didn't need stored. I don't know how well it'll wear yet, but it feels great and for this price, I'd be willing to replace it fairly regularly even though I expect it won't need it as often as it did with the beads.
