Good Ubuntu Book
I've used other Chris Negus books over the years and have always found them to be clear and complete. Linux has changed considerably since I first began using it decades ago - gotten much more intuitive and much more like Windows from a user perspective. But Linux still has its own quirks and I find it easier to learn things with some form of guidance - hence this purchase. The writing style is clear and informative, I'm finding it easy to get through the book. There's a lot of hands-on opportunities and I take advantage of them. I somehow doubt I'll ever be much more than a home user of Linux (it's the best OS for conducting cybersecurity operations and that's my background) but I find this book to be very useful for familiarizing myself with Ubuntu.

Has Most Things But Not Everything
This is the best Ubuntu Linux text I could find so far.It has all the basics on Linux system administration, how to install and manage major applications (barring Nginx) and services on both desktop and server machines. The only fault I have with this book to date is that it doesn't have a chapter on configuring an email server on one's host machine, something I personally regard as almost axiomatic for people wanting computing independence. Though the authors omitted this because they believe many users today use a separate mail services like Google Workspaces, I hope they change their priorities in later editions.
