Tenmars TM-192 3-Axis EMF Meter Magnetic Field Meter TM192

I purchased this product because I am considering building a new home fairly close to a high voltage power line, and I wanted some reassurance that I wasn't making a bad decision. The fact that the instrument was advertised as sometimes being used for professional purposes influenced my decision to purchase this model. I have no way at present of confirming the instruments accuracy, but the reading updates quickly and behaves as one would expect with regard to the EMR levels changing as one approaches or recedes from an EMR source. I may consider asking the power line owner for a confirmatory reading at the border of their easement which will hopefully confirm the accuracy of the Tenmars gaussmeter.

An EMF meter without a logging capability is not useful.

DHLで来たが、税関が香港からと電話で言っていた。輸入者はどこかと尋ねてきた。面倒くさいから自分の名にしといてくださいと頼んだ。こんな電話が来るのは異例のことだ。出品者が素人で書類不備でもあったか。袋の上から貼り付けてあった Invoice には"Just for sample, no buisiness value"と印刷してある。こういう中国の出品者は注文時にこちらがヤマト運輸営業所止めを指定すると (普通はアマゾンジャパン発送でないと指定できないんだが) 無理無体にヤマト運輸営業所宛で送ってくる。一度は郵便局が「本当はこんなことできないが」と言ってヤマトに届けてくれた。 こんどもDHLから電話があって届け先を尋ねられた。会社は台湾にあるようだし、本体にも Made in Taiwan というステッカーが貼ってある。その下は平滑。しかし台湾で完成したものなら大陸の、日本からさらに遠い香港から出荷される道理はないだろう。転売品かな？米国アマゾンでも多数の出品者がまちまちの価格と送料で売っている。説明書は繁体中国文と英文の二部。梱包はしっかり二重の緩衝材で包んであったが、紙箱は店頭にしばらくあったみたいな感じ。本体より結構大きい汎用品らしいベルト通し付き厚手ナイロン製キャリーケース付き。バッテリーは商品に含まれませんとあるが、九割くらいの容量のものが付いてきた。また裏面中央にカメラにあるような三脚雲台固定用のネジ穴がある。三軸に嘘はないようだ。計測部のあると思しい頭部を中心として向きを変えても数値に大きな変動はないから。

Used this in the field to verify uT readings from high tension power lines to assess statistical models on inductance. Seems pretty accurate down to the uG level. Storage functionality kind of sucks and to get to the resolution I want I have to turn on, hit T/G, and then Range 2x.Far more accurate than the iOS magnetometer which just picks up the Earth's magnetic field (this one does not).

Cannot comment of accuracy of the device as I have no way of validating, so using it to get an understanding of high high the readings are compared to my current residency. Viewed many homes which were making me and my family nauseous not knowing how powerlines affected us. After purchasing this unit I compared it to where I'm currently at to houses that gave us problems and found the readings were as much as 40 times higher for houses directly under high voltage lines. Simple to use unit with large LCD and works simply by turning it on. Wish it had the ability to read RF strength, but it's a specialized tool for low herzt EMF. Good tool get a general idea of your surroundings.
