Works. Easy to setup, with my configuration. Delivered in 2 days. Pleased.
It works. The price is very reasonable, and it came with all accessories necessary. I was using my 2.1 Logitech sound system on my new TV. TV has an optical out, no headphone out or Analog audio out, and plug this into the adapter and use L/R/W/R RCA cord, and I am able to have full sound on an inexpensive TCL QLED TV. Powered by USB, TV has a USB port that powers this. Very pleased with setup and I didn't need to spend$ on a soundbar.. The instructions wars to switch TV sound to PCM and not auto. This was a good tip, when It was set to auto there was digital noise when I switched TV to PCM everything worked fine. Pleased. Came fast

Works great!
I bypass my TV's normal audio, and use the SPDIF Optical output so I can run the TV's sound through a small compressor---this allows me to control 'loud commercials' and 'loud music/war/fight scenes in Netflix shows, etc.' so the volume is more even. To do that, I had to convert the Optical output to normal RCA (old VCR red/white cables) cables. Bought this box to convert the Optical sound to usable RCA cable audio signal. Sound quality is great. I come out of this box, into a small compressor and directly to a set of powered speakers. Great system. Solved the problem! PS: I've never had good luck with 'optical' outputs on various pieces of equipment before, so I was skeptical this would work, but it works like a charm. Plugged it in, worked right away! SIMPLE connections/set up. Works like a charm.

Amazing and Inexpensive
I have a high end vintage stereo system that does not have digital inputs. I had been using this in my basement audio/video room hooked up to an older TV that had rca line level outputs. When that tv died and I replaced it, I found that the new tv only has an optical output. Bought this super inexpensive DAC not knowing what to expect. WOW. I suppose the old tv was running that output through some garbage electronics and I got used to bad sound. I am shocked by the qualify audio with this DAC. Highs and midrange are clearer, bass impact and extension is perfect. And most obvious is the sense of space and imaging. I wish that old tv would have broke years ago!

Great cheap optical converter, but be prepared for a decrease in volume
This converter works great. It feels really well built with a solid metal body, and the connections are simple and work well with no noticeable noise or loss in quality. It even comes with a short optical cable! For my specific use-case, I bought this because I noticed some faint electrical noise coming from my PC line out jack when playing games that needed a lot of resources, and this allowed me to pull from the optical jack on my motherboard and output with a 3.5mm cable to my studio monitor controller and straight into my monitors. This completely got rid of the electrical noise, and has been working great. Two minor complaints I have with this converter: it does not include a USB power supply, which is a bit annoying. However, it's really not picky about the type you have as long as it's a very common 5V 1A plug, and it worked totally fine with one I salvaged from an old electric razor. This converter also caused a noticeable decrease in volume. This would not be an issue in a lot of scenarios, but since I was going from my PC to an optical converter, then into a passive studio monitor controller that already decreased the volume a fair bit, I had to do some tweaking. All my settings were maxed out, so I had to turn to a free third-party program called Equalizer APO to add a +8dB gain boost on my primary audio output. The program is a bit weird to use but I got it working after some trial-and-error, so now it's close to the original output level I was used to. Overall, this is a solid converter and a great option if you need a no-frills optical-to-analog converter, as long as you have some extra headroom to allow for the decrease in volume.

easy to hook up, sound quality is high. it comes with a power cable but you only need it if it isnt loud enough without it.

Works well converting rca to hdmi tvs . But you do need an optical input port to be compatible
This product worked awesome! I had an older magnavox surround sound system that works very good, but is incompatible with the newer tv's. I would definitely recommend it so that you don't have to upgrade to newer wireless surround sound systems

The size is perfect for connecting audio equipment without taking up too much space. It’s compact, practical, and easy to install. Setup was quick, and it worked immediately after connecting. Preiswerter, ordentlicher DAC

A cheap fix for awful TV sound
Works as it should and was easy to connect up. Sound quality is excellent through a decent amp, just moved some speakers around to make it more surround and it was good to go. A basic surround sound set up was more than ten times the price so as far as I am concerned it is a total win. I was a little concerned because it needed a 10m cable to reach the amp, but it is all fine. The TV it is connected to had awful sound quality, buzzy and tinny, most of the time the volume had to be kept below 10% or the distortion made it unbearable. Now it can be cranked up until the windows are shaking and is still clear, we have spent the afternoon watching music videos and I am looking forward to watching some shows without having the subtitles on. If I am going to be picky, a little more wire on the connector and the power lead would have been handy, but overall for the price I can't fault it.

Item does not work
I am not sure how this item got any good reviews. I cant find any info about prozor as a manufacturer It looks like an oem of some sort and it is made in china. I wasted time returning this

Perfect little thing
It works as expected. They mention PCM but there might be other features in your sound settings that you need to tweak. Don't lose faith.
