AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Certification Kit: Associate SOA-C01 Exam

Great book if you trying to get your SOA-CO1 cert.

Lots of issues with these books. First, it's massively outdated, as Amazon has moved on to newer versions of services while this books continues to get more and more stale. There are a *lot* of incorrect answers and explanations in the book: whoever proofread this should be fired. Finally, if you rely strictly on this book, you will fail the exam. It gives a shallow overview of AWS various services but fails to even attempt to get to the depth that the exam does. Other services that are tested on aren't even mentioned.I feel fortunate that I purchased these using company funds rather than out of my own pocket. Still, I feel cheated and ripped off after reading these. There are various online bootcamps and video tutors that will do a better job preparing you for certification.

Keep in mind this is not for the current SOA-C02 exam. This is for SOA-C01 which you could no longer take after July of 2021. I ordered in haste and given the price of the bundle and solo prices on Amazon for these books, I assumed they were current, my mistake.

I passed the test today and not due to this book. The book gives good intro to many of the services but not all the ones covered on the test. You can't pass the test with this book alone. The questions are all problem statements with complex answers. You not getting any softball questions. I am not one for practice exams either and only one I took was the official AWS 20 question. Learn the tech and don't try to memorize answers. I suggest the Udemy course by Stephane Maarek with over 200 lectures.
