Snugpak| Softie 12 UK made winter weather performance sleeping bag

Bought this item at 140.. worth every pound!It’s very well designed and made by Yorkshire company. Havnt tested it yet as I hate rain but I have checked it’s seams and they are all good, there is a lined foot box incase you need to go in fully dressed like a squaddie and has tapes shielding the fabric from snagging in the zipper, which is a good quality zipper! All in all I think this is an ideal bag for uk winters. Got the right hand zip option and it fits my phoxx 1 perfectly. It’s not super light and compact but it’s lighter than some and if you want a good nights sleep you have to have a bit more weight to your sleep kit.. imo it’s a fair trade off.Edit: have now used in February at about 4 degrees .. I pre warmed the foot box with a Nalgene bottle of hot water as my feet were cold and I warmed up nicely when I got in. I ended up stripping layers off over night till I just had a base layer top and socks on.. was nice and warm and comfortable, I’m a cold sleeper and found it was great.. I’m in love with this bag 😁 it paired well with the Vango treck 3 long sleeping pad which I also recommend.. they arnt the lightest or most compact duo but I value my comfort enough to put up with these factors..it fits the oex phoxx 1 nicely .. same width as tent so no spare room at sides but leaves room free at head end of tent for gadgets like lamp, phone, charger, book, munchies and other odds and sods

Had these three times now, they last on average about 5-7 years , longer if you do not wash them, so this time we got silk liners from jag. We were going to get snugpak liners but they are not 100% silk, Jag liners are. These bags might not be the best in the world, but for us they have become very much a part of camping for their ease of use and dependability. My only niggle is the damn bobbles to tighten the cords, they are bulky and hurt when rolling about in the night. Be better to fit flatter ones, maybe we will source some and replace them as we have been promising ourselves for jeep knows how long. I would recommend these bags for anyone who can carry that little extra for the little extra comfort they bring. There are lighter ones, but not as spacious and warm and comfy as these. The people at snugpak are quite something, the last ones we got some ten years ago were wrong, we were camping abroad when we found out, so they posted us two new ones, right there and then, always there to please the customer. Military kit are also quite good and have apoligised for the mix up in this order which they not only rectified at an alarming speed, but how we got the missing bag next day is a puzzle as they only had a few hours to sort it, but sort it they did and so last night was with new bags all snug and warm, thank you

The best sleeping bag I've ever owned!Snugpak is well way ahead of the pack of the other ones made in cheap labor countries and sold for the same price.A great "made in the UK" product.
