Very comfortable - woried about the lace eyelets though.
When it comes to running shoes, I tend to wear out the tops before the bottom. The lace holes tend to tear through near the top for me. I like to lace my shoes tight when I run or jog. This shoe seems to be good overall, but the lace holes seem too close to the edge and that worries me.Color is good. Fit is good. First jog/run was good, shoe seems stable. I bough some elastic laces - thingking the estra give might keep the laces from tearing out.

Durable, light, breathable. Perfect for long-distance hiking.
I purchased these for a long-distance hike in the Ozarks. After looking at quite a few expensive name brand trail running shoes I decided to roll the dice and go for a these as a more affordable option. And I couldn't be happier. They're very comfortable even after 10-15 miles through rocks, trees, and streams. The fabric on the sides and top is breathable, allowing for air to get through as well as water to get out.The tread is aggressive and has good grip which was important when you're climbing steep embankments. The toe is reinforced for those times when you accidentally trip on rocks and trees (which happens all the time). Extremely durable and well-made.Thirdly, these are fairly fashionable, and I plan to wear them on a day-to-day basis from time to time as well. All in all I'd definitely buy these shoes again.

Narrow foot
The shoes are cool and I think they look better in person. However, the Toe Protect subtracts from size and comfort at the toe. Other than that it seems to fit true to size. I could see someone with a more wide foot purchasing a wide width. I feel if I went up a size (10) in which I never wear, it would definitely be too big. Maybe a different sock may help. They are pleasantly comfortable in mid step something like a soft cushy bounce. I wore them to the gym and that is when I discovered the Toe discomfort but nothing unbearable because the space is there...just covered by toe protect.Overall, rad shoe the red/black contrast really stands out with a fierceness. The design is cool remind me of a finger print. I actually dig the look of the toe protect it just has a bit of a boot feel to the toe. The price was best part so they are keepers. Come through NB!

Great for hiking
I wore out my hiking boots and decided to try trail runners as a replacement since I don't backpack, just day hike. These New Balance fit my high volume foot great, like every pair of them I've had. They were comfy out of the box. I wore them for about a month of casual use before a week of hiking in Smokey Mountains NP. These shoes were great: all day comfortable, great traction, stiff enough sole to soften stepping on rocks and supportive enough on the ascents & descents. Very glad I got these and may buy a spare 2nd pair.

After about 3 months, the fabric in a seam wore through the insole and now bruises my arch.
When first purchased, these shoes were excellent. For three months, in fact, they were excellent. Daily wear and jogging and running ... even power walk (over an hour with a weighted pack and dumbbells ... lost 50lbs). But after three months the seam where the upper is sewn together that runs slightly beneath the sides of the shoe began to wear through the bottom just under the arch of my foot. This eventually caused a bruise and of course renders the shoe unusable (after four months). Admittedly, I did put a lot of miles in, but I've put far more miles on far cheaper shoes without the sole wearing due to a seam beneath the sole. And while we're criticizing ... the "rate features" of this product only allows "How does the product fit?" Really? Because whether it fit ME or not means anything to anyone else on the planet. lol

very slick on tile when wet
these are comfortable. A little narrow compared to other tennis shoes, but I don't mind that. If you have wider feet you'll want to be aware of that. However, so far the sole are so new & sturdy that when it gets even the slightest bit when & you walk on any smooth surface it is very slick, and very dangerous. I would compare it to try to walk on an ice rink with your tennis shoes on. I am hoping that improves once they are more broke in on the bottoms. I love the color, and I get a lot of compliments on them.

One of NB's better shoes
If you have wide feet, there's at least one pair of New Balance in your closet. These are one of the better pair I've had as of late. Size is as expected. Construction is amazing with the engineered fabric upper and smooth, welded seams. I'm notoriously hard on a toe box and this synthetic one has gone the distance. Great options for colorsways, too often the wide shoes are made to look like you got them at a podiatrist. Thanks NB for keeping my feet happy!
