Are there better IR Illuminators out there? Sure. Is this one a bargain? Absolutely. The IR glow from this is totally invisible, and I am able to effectively see coyotes fighting out at 600 yards through my AGM Comanche 22. Thinking about starting my own coyote fight club at this rate. Great piece of kit, use the focus adjustment to conserve battery life. I am able to get 8+ hours on the lowest setting, which is plenty enough for me.

Far better quality than I expected. Light throw is great for price. Overall materials are good solid. Dramatically changes effectiveness of my gen3 night vision. Con - switch is not waterproof. Easy fix, cover in small bag and band it in place.

Great IR Illuminator for this price point!! Doesn’t come with any batteries so I went with a rechargeable set up so now I have extras. Haven’t used it for any extended period of time yet so I can’t say much about battery life but it is very bright out past 100 yards with my ATN 4K Pro. Makes it much less grainy compared to the standard illuminator that comes standard with the 4K pro so it’s a big upgrade imho.

Getting a “Now Expected To Arrive Tomorrow” 3 days in a row gets pretty annoying. Other than that the light at a far distance is not circle it’s square just if you are wondering. Aside from the annoying delivery the product is fantastic.

Bought to use with a gen 1 monocular (armasight spark) works great out to the couple hundred yards I can see in the woods near me. Gets kind of hot running on 123s but not really a problem. Lens focus to go from flood to spotlight works great. IR glow from front barely noticeable to naked eye. LED power indicator light on tailcap is useful but could be taped over if you wanted to be super sneaky. Haven't used a lot of other external IRs but I am impressed and happy with this purchase.

Very disappointed in the price for not actually being a 5w and very underpowered.only reached about 100 ft. My xvision nightvision range finders ir was better. I bought this to increase the distance an fov on my xvision but it didn't make any difference.

Well made. Strongest IR flashlight for the money I've seen. The brightness adjusts as does distance focus. Even has a tiny green LED near rear switch when on. I like it. Only con is not waterproof.

Kinda suck to be honest. Can only see maybe 50 yards turned all the way up. I tried to like it and make it work but it’s simply not worth the money.

Provato (con un visore professionale IR) in condizioni di visibilità nulla: consente una visione chiara fino a circa 70-100 metri (il visore IR era settato su emissione IR=zero), 150 metri (visore IR=uno), 200 metri (visore IR=due), 300 metri (visore IR=tre). Oltre questa distanza la torcia non va e la luce IR emessa viene coperta dal visore IR provato (IR= quattro 350 metri IR= cinque 450 metri IR= sei 600 metri) . In presenza di nebbia, pioggia,nevicata l'emissione (con visore IR=zero) si riduce drasticamente (50-70 metri). Con torcia spenta e visore IR attivo (settaggio IR= sei) la visione arrivava a 150 metri. Articolo consigliato per visori IR non professionali ,con portata massima teorica di 300 metri (pratica di 100-150 metri). In tal caso l'oggetto viene molto bene illuminato ma la visione , a lunga distanza, potrebbe essere poco dettagliata se non senza contorni netti se si usano visori IR con bassa qualità di lenti e rilevamento (zoom) della distanza.

Very impressive torch - very high quality and well made but at a reasonable price, simple to operate and nice to have the option to alter the range and focus of the beam - the 'ON' indicator light is also super helpful given this is IR. Works perfectly with the Prowl monocular and provides plenty of IR light while saving the battery on the monocular itself. Doesn't come with a battery but I used a button topped 18650 type and it fit with no issues at all. Pleased and impressed with my purchase - would recommend!

I have bought quite a few infrared flashlights over the last few years and I've started to work more with night vision and have been doing some infrared photography and, as a result I went out and bought a couple of "cheaper" infrared flashlights to use and try...they worked...then I upgraded to the Nightfox XB5. Honestly, this is by far the best infrared flashlight I've ever used! It provides the best options and light I've ever used in infrared! It has beam options from a wider angle to spotlight, and it lights stuff up in such a way as it is easily seen via the night vision or infrared scope or film, but is not so bright or obvious as to give away a position or location as it can be seen by the naked eye like some infrared flashlight. This has quickly become my go to for night vision or infrared use! My only complaint is it does not come with the batteries, which on their own, with a charger are not cheap, and there is no option to charge them once in the flashlight, but still overall this is the best infrared flashlight I've ever used, and this one issue would not cause me to recommend this light less, it's simply a need to know. If you are looking for a good infrared flashlight, the XB5 is one you should research and consider!
