It's Fun to Draw Knights, Castles, and Pirates Paperback – Illustrated, May 7, 2019

My elementary-aged son has always loved knights, medieval combat, and the like. I taught him how to draw knights in armor with weapons in my own way but he didn't seem to grasp it due to some of the complexity of the armor pieces, especially at his skill level and experience. But this book was just right for him and he was drawing knights over and over since getting it. It really does a good job of breaking down EVERYTHING into basic shapes like squares and rectangles and shows step-by-step what to add on next. I hope they make another book with different knight designs and maybe even other warriors from around the world like Samurai, Viking, and Spartan/Ancient Greek.

This was super cute! My 7 year old loves it, and I might actually use it too haha!

We ordered several books like this, but he seems to draw best using this book. I do wish it have a few more steps to make it a little easier. I love how each new part of the picture is in red. The other books are all in black so it can be confusing to a toddler as to what needs to be drawn next. The red additions really help.

I bought this book for my nephew and he loves it! He's already drawn so many of the characters.

My son has been drawing since Easter 2020 almost daily. This book is so easy and uses basic shapes to make the castles and knights. Very colorful and easy to understand. A very good book on “ how to draw”.

Wonderful for kids of all ages even adults!

Granddaughter loves it

My grandson, nearly 6, loves drawing and painting. He likes to have the inspiration of something to copy to help him learn new skills. He will then use his imagination to develop what he sees. He really loved this topic - castles and pirates are right up his street and the images are fun and age appropriate. Most importantly they are clear and not too complicated to copy.
