A must have!
If I could give 10 stars I would. Fantastic product. We bought from Slip Drs originally (4 months ago) for my elderly moms shower and it was so easy to apply and worked so well that we ordered 2 more bottles, on Amazon, for my sisters house. The productssmell isn't offensive while applying, dries quickly, and the sandy grit is not uncomfortable to stand on. My mom says that she really doesn't notice its even there. Its clear so it doesn't alter the color of the tub or shower. Its easy, permanent (so far) and safer than decals or mats. Plus you don't have to worry about mold or mildew that mats or dwcals collect.

The BEST 'anti-slip' product on the market!!
I purchased this product for a bathtub that already had some type of manufacturer anti-slip sections in it, but they must have worn down over time because my daughter had slipped and fallen twice in the last couple of weeks. Luckily, she was able to catch herself and prevent serious injury, but I was desperate to prevent any more falls. In my search, I found three different options, the first being the 'stickers' which come in a variety of shapes sizes and/or strips. None were very appealing to me though... even the most 'plain' among them were very noticable and unattractive. From past experience, I know these stickers start to lift and peel rather quickly. The second option was even less appealing... an anti-slip bath mat which requires constant cleaning and drying to prevent mold from growing. The third, and best option (in my opinion, of course!) is 'Tub Grip'. A unique product that is easy to apply and results in a coating of CLEAR, slightly gritty, anti-slip material in the bottom of the tub. I watched a demonstration video on youtube, of how to apply the product, though the written directions would have been fine. You basically wash the tub and make sure it is dry, dump the contents of the bottle into 3 sections of the tub, then use the roller to spread it around until the bottom of the tub is evenly coated, then allow to dry for at least 8 hours. I can't speak to the durability of the product, but as of now, we are very happy with the results, and I would highly recommend it to anyone... in fact, I have just ordered another bottle for my mom and a slippery bathtub that she has! Pros: *The obvious... prevents slipping! *Coats entire bottom of the tub (the stickers and bath mats leave areas unprotected). *Easy to care for... just clean the tub with a non-abrasive cleanser, like SoftScrub. *It is clear, and doesn't clash with bathroom colors/design/decor... if you look closely, you can see a slight sheen difference where it is, but that's it! Cons: *Some might consider the price to be a bit high, but I think it is fair, especially for what you receive... permanent anti-slip protection that does what it is supposed to without looking ugly or silly... no need to compromise on appearance for the sake of safety!! *Availability... Amazon was the only place I could find this, which is fine by me, as long as it continues to be available, in case we need more!

Shady company
I used this product about three years ago and was very pleased with it so I decided to get it again What a HUGE mistake . This time I got a teeny tiny little two inch bottle with not enough product to make it worth the effort of using it. I am very disappointed with this company and will never buy anything from them again.

Works great - shower floor no longer slippery. So far @ 6 months still working well
Worked well; shower floor went from slippery potential fall hazard to subtle texture. The roll-on form was easy and did not produce significant fumes - didn't even need to turn on bathroom fan. Dried clear [color of shower floor (white) unchanged]. We have not needed to change cleaning techniques - can squeegee shower out with no problems. Now about 6 months out - still seems to be just as good as when I first treated the floor.

This stuff does the trick, but the texture doesn't last long
We bought a house and the shower was a death trap. I am not joking. It was so slick if there was any kind of water on it that you might as well have put down oil. The surface was smooth with no protection and honestly I don't know how the shower manufacturer hasn't faced a lawsuit with how dangerous the thing is. After nearly losing my teeth on the shower handle from slipping one time I determined that was the last straw, I was going to install a new shower, but before that I decided to see what other options were out there. I tried the stick on traction things - they were junk and fell off after a couple weeks. I tried the suction cup matts, and those worked for a little while, but you had to keep them very clean and pick them up after every shower otherwise scum would get under and make them a skating rink as well. Then I found this stuff and it was a miracle. Application was super easy. I sanded the surface of the shower (probably should have done that in the beginning to give a little more traction). I cleaned it well, then squirted this bottle out and used the provided roller. The roller is small, but it actually does not take long to apply. I let it set up for 32 hours before using the shower. It had a sand light texture, but it wasn't hard on the feet. It was also a miracle because I didn't break my neck trying to get into the shower or while using it. I was so happy. I had read on another review that it wears out and they'd reapply. I figured I could do that once a year, sure. Well it only took a couple weeks before the sand texture was completely gone. I was fearing for when I would step in that shower and nearly die in the process. That day hasn't come yet. The texture may be gone, but the floor still does not get slippery. So far, so good. Even if I had to reapply right now I would not mind, it is cheaper than installing a new shower, even if you DIY. So if you are suffering from a very slippery shower, I do recommend this stuff. It is easy to put down and it lasts a good while and it can save your life.

Great so far/exactly what I was looking for...
I was curious as to how it would really work and how course the texture really is, since I read many different reviews about it. Here is my experience and opinion.... I will begin by saying I did an extremely thorough job of cleaning the tub prior to applying it and we used a second bathroom in order to give it a full 24 hours to dry before using it. This was applied to a standard-issue porcelain shower/tub. I despise and refuse to use those rubber mats ("old lady bathtub mats" as I call them) as they are just gross. I previously used the peel & stick strips, but to be effective you needed a lot of them. In fairness, I am reviewing the product only after 4 days of use. I will update this as time passes and I see longer-term results. But, at this point I am very impressed. It was easy to apply - many mentioned the difficulty of seeing where you've applied it as you're painting it on. That is true due to its clear color - but I just used a drop light (a flash light would work too) held on an angle to view the wet areas as I was doing it. It dries clear - which I was happy about. In my opinion, the surface is not too gritty to the touch - I find it to be comfortable to stand on with just enough grit to do an effective job. I like how the application allows the entire tub floor to be evenly covered so there are no slick spots. I applied it over the entire bottom surface and slightly up the inside corners of the tub. When finished I had about 1/4 of the bottle left. As of now I am very pleased with the product. As for the price - it seems a bit high, but if I get a few years out of it I will be pleased. I'll give it a few months and update this review accordingly. Update - August 2017: Product still effective after over a year of 2 adult showers per day - although the length of my wife's showers should probably count as double :) NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I try to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews because I also read reviews prior to making my own buying decisions. I notice many reviews lack helpful information, are not well written or give poor reviews based on not reading directions, inexperience or failing to read the product details prior to purchasing. Writing valuable reviews helps pay it forward.

Not recommended for people who are slightly unsteady on their feet
I really, really wanted to give this product a glowing review - the other reviews are so positive, and the company seems to want to please its customers. Also, I wanted to get rid of my mildew-prone bath mat for good! However, and this is just my opinion, the product doesn't provide enough "sensory traction" to the tub. What I mean by this, is that if you're at all unsteady on your feet, either because of a disability or age or whatever, you may need the "feel" of a bath mat to feel really secure in a wet, soapy shower (as I do.) Yes, it technically makes the tub non-slip, but I found that I needed to go back to a tub mat to feel really secure while standing in the shower. I recommend this mat: Ginsey Rubbermaid Extra Large Rubber Bath Mat, White August 2013 update: I just wanted to clarify my comments a bit: While I agree that this product does make the tub non-slip, I wanted to warn people about the feeling of traction that this coating is lacking. If you're unsteady on your feet, you'll understand what I mean. A tub mat provides a surface that you can kind of "grip" with your toes to feel more secure. (Not to mention that a tub mat is more comfortable too!) Mildewing is not a problem for me with the tub mat, since I just toss the mat in with the bleach wash every week or so.

Great stuff, just make sure your surface prep is done.Updated
I just applied the product 5 days ago, so far so good. It was very easy to do. I had far more problems removing & cleaning the old anti- slip stickers than applying Slip Doctors. As they say with most paint or similar type products, the quality of the end result is in the preparation. I scrubbed my shower very thoroughly...3 times in fact. I had to do the floor like this in order to remove all of the glue from the previously removed stickers. This scrubbing with a scotch Brite pad per the included instructions took far more than the recommended 5 minute scrub time. I considered using a light grade sand paper to scuff the floor of the shower but chose not to this time. I am confident in the preparation I did being adequate. After allowing the shower to dry fully I applied the product per instructions very quickly & allowed it to dry completely for 24 hours before using the shower. It dried completely clear. I actually had to use a flashlight at a very shallow angle in order to get a look at my handiwork. The grit in the product which gives it it's anti- slip quality was clearly visible & evenly distributed over the entire surface. It works fantasticly & is very comfortable on my feet. Time will tell as to its durability. As I said before however, with any product like this the quality of the end result is all in the surface preparation. The poor reviews I saw on this prior to my purchase were more than likely due to lousy surface preparation. This is usually always a sign of laziness & lack of concern of end results. This then causes blame shifting toward the manufacturer or service provider. At any rate so far this is a great product & I am very pleased with it. My previous review stands! With even better results. The prices has been applied to another bathtub that still has not worn off after several years with no signs of wear whatsoever. It in fact works so well that after my recent divorce & purchase of a new home I have applied it to my new shower with that same type of surface prep. Mrelm wrote a review on this stuff with what I think is an excessive amount of prep work using muratic acid which unless you have HUGE amounts of soap scum or NEVER properly clean your shower/tub is quite a bit of over kill. Do the prep work, pore all of the product on all at once throughout the area you want covered going very slightly up the sides & you will have the same results I did which will last for many many years!!

Fantastic product
I am always very wary about slipping in the bath or shower as breaking your leg when naked is not ideal. I cleaned our new shower bath just with normal cleaner, I was worried about using too abrasive cleaner, it was a new bath after all. The roller brush supplied is easy to use and the bottle was sufficient to cover the whole of the base of our large P shaped bath. It has been 4 months since I applied this and it is still working brilliantly. Feels like soft sand under your feet and no slipping. Would highly recommend to all ages.

INVISIBILE E PRATICO
Prezzo a mio parere un pò caro. Steso in due piatti doccia alla data odierna mi ritengo molto soddisfatto. La grip è delicata e non da alcun fastidio, è invisibile.

Works exactly as ststed.
I have an elderly mother who complained about a slippery acrylic/fibreglass shower base. Applied the product and she has never been happier with such a result. Highly recommended.

Works Great
Great product. I was reluctant to let my wife use it on our expensive shower floor, but it looked like a professional install after and it certainly solves the slip issue
