Incredibly Fun!
I had so much fun playing as DIFFERENT characters from the show! Simply go to the inn, and select your character from the desk! What's more, you can CHANGE their costumes! You have Sinon's GGO Avatar, and Kirito's GGO Avatar, along with other outfits! It's just amazing! You can fly AND fight dragons in the sky. You can explore ALO in a flight mode! You can slash through endless hords of monsters, or you can progress the story! Honesty it is so fun! And while you don't have English dub, or a cinematic story mode, the story is well written. I played Hollow Realization for the 1st time after this, and absolutely hated it. It was a PowerPoint! If you like SAO and ALO, this is a must must must have! I saw awful reviews, and honesty those people were so very wrong! This game rocks!

Very fun game for SAO fans
To make a long story short, I really liked this game. After watching both seasons of Sword Art Online, I immediately fell in love with everything about the series and shortly after googled if there were any video games relating to this series. Well, there were! I found two and after looking at gameplay from both, I decided to buy Lost Song. I'm not gonna get into why I love the game too much but basically, if you're a fan of SAO, you're probably gonna enjoy this game. It's fun, kinda simple, and addicting for a good while. I wish there more variety of online missions but, I still really like playing online regardless. In the end, I really enjoyed the game a lot. I also wish the story was a bit longer but oh well. I enjoyed it to the point that I even got a platinum trophy for it. So in the very end, if you're an SAO fan I would give this game a try. If not, maybe wait for the new one coming out this fall. :)

Great game, but almost an annoying amount of cut scenes....
You completed a quest? Congrats you get a 5 minute cut scene. You walk across town? You shall be rewarded with another cut scene. Just finished a cut scene? Let's celebrate the end of the cut scene with yet another cut scene. The actual game play is great, with lots of skill and sword crafting options. You can even play as asuna in a towel! Flying is great fun and leveling up is integrated in various bug-murdering side quests. Only complaint is the ridiculous amount of cut scenes. (Which you can fast-forward through, but you might miss a little bit of the plot). I would still rate the game as a 5/5, but prepare yourself for the dialogue.

Loved it!!!
A game I never thought to love, but it ended me getting attached to it, the game represents very well the anime and it has its own original stories, missions and actions, if you love fantasy and RPGs you should give it a try, it won't dissapoint you.

A downgrade from Hollow Fragment
Unfortunately, a downgrade from SAO: Hollow Fragment. While you can now fly, Hollow Fragment gave you a much better feeling of exploration. The world was also larger, or at least felt that way, with a lot more to do. I won't comment on the story other than to say it probably won't be why you play this game. Once the novelty wore off, I found myself bored and lacking the motivation to finish. While I'm a fan of SAO, I just can't recommend this one, especially at full price. Wait for the price to drop. Pros - Able to fly freely and fight in the air. - Overall, combat was still fun but see cons below. - The character cast is all there. - The environment looks great on the PS4. - No more broken English. Cons - Combat has been reduced to button mashing with little strategy compared to Hollow Fragment. While it's still fun overall, most of that is because of the ability to fly. Auto-attack is gone. Instead, you now have to button mash to make all of those low damage normal attacks. Once the novelty of flying wears off, it becomes very repetitive and boring. Luckily, you can still run past monsters like in Hollow Fragment. - You can't switch between characters in your party. If you choose Kirito as the character you control at the Inn, you have to go back to the Inn to change to a new character. Two additional characters fight in your party, but unlike other games (e.g. Tales, Ys), you can't just press a button to rotate between them as needed. If you die, you just sit there until one of your party members decides to resurrect you or you return to the start of the area or dungeon. - You can't command the other characters to use particular abilities. The only commands available are to get in formation, charge or fall back. You can't get your party members to cast a heal when you need it, or to cast specific types of buffs. - Hard mode here means give bosses an insane amount of HP. Don't make the same mistake and play on hard mode. You're unable to switch back to normal either unless you start the whole game over. At first, it seemed like just the right amount of challenge. However, once you get further in (3rd island is where I noticed this first), you will mostly be fighting boredom as you whittle down each boss. - Reused monsters and dungeons. There are only a handful of monster types (6-8?) and bosses that get reused and reskinned for each area. The same 2 dungeon types get reused as well.

Great Game for those whom love Action RPG
If you love the SAO series, you'll definitely love the game since you're in control of Kirito (or your custom Kirito) throughout his adventures. It's basically a side story of the 2nd season where (without mentioning spoilers) monsters are trying to destroy the town, a group of villains trying to overcome the government and trying to kill Kirito. It's a great game. Try it out.

Great Concept, Terrible Execution
I was very disappointed by this game. I thought I would be playing some type of JRPG with a story in the theme of Sword Art Online. What I got instead was a room with hundreds of random mobs that you fight, practically no story, and terrible controls. While in the air, swinging the sword causes you to be stuck at the height you had jumped to. It also took me an hour just to figure out how to use healing potions (since you don't heal over time) however these cannot be purchased so there are only 2-3 per "stage". These stages are just large circular rooms filled with hundreds of mobs (not at all related to SAO by the way) who don't actually target you, or if they do will only weakly follow you around slowly. Gameplay consists of flying from one edge of the area to the other over all the mobs, then fighting a "boss", and repeating. This gets old very fast, especially remembering that there is no way to heal between fights except for a few healing potions, and that before each boss the game autosaves, so you always start with the same amount of health and you have to watch an unskippable cutscene every time you die. I do not recommend, you could find better games in the free section of steam greenlight or your local walmart's bargain bin.

Great game for SAO fans, Good game in general
As a fan of SAO, this is worth a look, and in turn a purchase. This is my first Sword Art Online game, I did not play the previous titles. The game mechanics are easy to learn, and provides enough depth to keep you entertained. The story is not as deep or detailed as the Anime Series or Books, but it was enjoyable. The story progress in a fairly linear fashion, and allows you the ability to experiment with multiple characters. In a very simplified view, you are playing a game inside of a game. You get to play as Kirito, and the rest of the SAO crew, as they explore a new Virtual World. Some Pros - Tons of Action, and ability to go in and out of Quest/Dungeons. Ability to fly, while it might take a little to get used too, is an awesome experience. Large array of skills and unique abilities to learn and configure to suit the gamer. Ability to play with SAO Characters, a huge plus for a fan of the series. Some Cons - Some of the Side Quest get rather repetitive, Some of the character driven Side Quest are only selectable while you have Kirito as your main Character. Since XP is only gained for character's that you currently have in the party, it can cause some Grinding pains to Level up Required Side Quest Characters.

Game was a lot of fun. Felt like the anime
Game was a lot of fun. Felt like the anime :) Camera angles were a lot better than hollow fragment but flying may take awhile to get used to for some users (you may be doing a lot of headstands lol)
