I bought this nose and ear hair trimmer because it seemed like a good option to start with, and for the price, it worked well initially. It was easy to use, and the battery-operated feature was very convenient. It did the job without any issues for a few months, providing a clean trim with minimal effort. However, after a few months of regular use, it stopped working altogether, which was disappointing. While it’s affordable and good for beginners, the fact that it didn’t last long makes me hesitant to recommend it for long-term use. It’s a decent option to start with if you’re looking for a budget-friendly choice, but don’t expect it to hold up for an extended period.

The Philips NT3650 does the job reasonably well for quick nose and ear hair trimming. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and cleaning is straightforward since you can just rinse it under water. The included attachments are simple to swap out, and the battery installation is hassle-free. That said, the trimming performance isn’t always consistent. Sometimes it cuts smoothly, but other times it seems to miss hairs, requiring a few passes. It’s not painful, but it doesn’t feel as precise or efficient as I’d hoped. The build quality is fine for the price point, but it does feel a little plasticky compared to other Philips grooming tools I own. Overall, this is a functional trimmer for light use, but it’s not as sharp or reliable as I expected. A good budget option, but not a standout.

Works well

Cut the inside of my nose on first use. I saw this Philips NT3650 product 'Promoted' by Amazon and for some stupid reason, I decided to give it a go. I have a few irritating hairs closer to the back of nostrils and on first use, it nicked my nose and I was bleeding for about 15 minutes. That's apart from the fact that you have to twist this device in certain ways as only the side of it cuts the hairs. I have used the Panasonic ER-GN30 for years and bought the product multiple times. I never had any issues at all and at £10 per purchase, once every two years, you can't really go wrong. Also in using this, the head is circular, protected and no matter how you turn it, it gets the hair and is comfortable while doing it. I suppose the only saving grace is that the Philips rubbish was only £13. Don't make my mistake and get sucked in by inferior Amazon 'Promoted' products. I would highly recommend looking at the Panasonic products. P.S. I've never left a review on any product before but this one annoyed me so much I had to.

Excellent trimmer

Doet z'n werk prima, in mijn beleving beter dan bijvoorbeeld de Panasonic neusharentrimmer met draaiende mesjes. Ik had hiervoor het oude model van Philips en die was ook best goed maar omdat deze al op leeftijd was dacht ik eens een ander goed merk te kopen. Panasonic doet het best goed en wordt ook goed aangeschreven maar de kop met draaiende mesjes werkt minder prettig, de kop valt snel uit elkaar en is ook wat lastiger schoon te maken. Hierdoor ben ik weer teruggegaan naar Philips.

ERSTER EINDRUCK & UNTERSCHIED Ich habe mir den Philips Series 3000 geholt, weil ich mit meinem alten Standard-Nasenhaartrimmer (diese typischen runden Röhrchen, die rotieren) unzufrieden war. Das Wichtigste vorweg: Das Schneidesystem hier ist anders. Es ist kein rotierender Zylinder, sondern eher ein flacher Scherkopf mit abgerundeten Spitzen. Das macht in der Anwendung einen riesigen Unterschied. PRAXISTEST & ANWENDUNG Der größte Pluspunkt ist für mich die Sanftheit. Bei meinem alten Gerät hatte ich oft das Gefühl, dass Haare eher ausgerissen als geschnitten wurden. Hier zwickt und ziept absolut nichts. Auch nach längerer Nutzung wird der Kopf nicht heiß, was bei billigen Motoren oft der Fall ist. Die Reinigung ist denkbar einfach: Kurz unter den Wasserhahn halten, fertig. Durch den mitgelieferten Beutel fliegt das Zubehör auch nicht lose im Kulturbeutel herum. AUGENBRAUEN Ich war erst skeptisch, mich mit einem mechanischen Gerät an die Augenbrauen zu wagen. Aber mit den Aufsätzen funktioniert das erstaunlich idiotensicher. Man muss keine Angst haben, sich versehentlich eine Lücke in die Braue zu rasieren. Es geht schnell und das Ergebnis sieht gepflegt, aber natürlich aus. DAS BATTERIE-PROBLEM Ein technischer Hinweis, der mich etwas stört: Das Gerät ist wählerisch bei der Stromquelle. Es ist für 1,5V Batterien ausgelegt. Wenn man (wie ich) gerne wiederaufladbare Akkus nutzt, haben diese oft nur 1,2V Spannung. Damit läuft der Motor spürbar schwächer oder gar nicht. Man ist also fast gezwungen, klassische Alkali-Wegwerfbatterien zu nutzen, damit er volle Power hat. PRO & CONTRA + Absolut schmerzfrei (kein Zupfen oder Reißen) + Keine Verletzungsgefahr (Scherkopf ist gut geschützt) + Sicherer Aufsatz für Augenbrauen + Einfache Reinigung unter Wasser + Praktische Aufbewahrungstasche inklusive - Funktioniert nur mit Alkali-Batterien (1,5V) wirklich gut, Akkus sind eher zu schwach - Einzelne, sehr lange oder versteckte Haare in der Nase sind manchmal schwer zu erwischen, da muss man den Winkel öfter ändern FAZIT Wer noch die alten Trimmer nutzt und Angst vor Schmerzen hat: Der Umstieg lohnt sich definitiv. Die Handhabung ist viel angenehmer und sicherer. Für den Preis ist die Leistung top, auch wenn der Zwang zu Einwegbatterien einen kleinen Punktabzug in der B-Note gibt.
