A novelty item at best
Lucky for me I bought this as a novelty item, as there really is not a lot of substance to this. Considering the $40 price tag I'm not terribly surprised. For starters, this is definitely not what I would consider to be a "spy cam". I have 12 IP cameras connected to an internal Blue Iris server, so I feel I have a pretty good understanding of wireless cameras and how they work. This one does not work well. Rather than give a long winded review on what I consider to be a toy, I will just list off the pros and cons as I found them.Pros:- Setup documentation was spot on and it was easy to connect up to the device- Video quality was fair- Device was smaller than expected which actually comes in as a plus for me. I would estimate roughly 1/3 the size of your basic alarm clock radio (which is what we were replacing)- Housing was sturdy- Unit looks nice and the numbers are well illuminatedCons- Camera is easily visible (see picture). I did not use this in low light but I suspect that if they are using the normal red colored night vision LEDs supplied by any other camera, there is no way the covering would hide them- Android interface is extremely clunky and not terribly intuitive. It looks like they made a genuine effort to be cutting edge but they just missed the mark imho.- Turning off the power and turning it back on resets the clock to 12:00 (no I did not have the battery backup installed but the unit was still receiving power from the wall outlet)- Changing the user name and password (recommended by the app) may lead to locking yourself out of the device. This may have been my own doing as I was attempting to set up a static address (all my cameras are set this way) but short of running a factory reset I'm pretty sure I've lost access completely.- No webui so live video can only be received from the proprietary app. This negates the ability to add it to a DVR server with other cameras.- Connection is spotty. I'm not sure where the antenna is located on this thing but I frequently lost connection (about 5 times very noticeably in a 10 minute test) which caused the app to become unresponsive until shutdown/restart. I'm running a dedicated Nighthawk router for my security cameras and this is not an issue with any of my other devices. I was roughly 15 feet from my wiring closet.I will be keeping this device as I feel it could come in somewhat handy for an unobservant babysitter or to prank a friend, but I have no intention on trusting this device with anything serious.

Quirky
So, make sure you and the clock are on 2.4. Quality perfect. App tends to not stay connected to phone but improved when I took out the batteries. I will get back to you on tech support. Complicated functions for clock set, not stealth camera display. For the price, not bad as long as product support is on point. We just want it to work....that's all

No memory card included
Overall it's a good product im happy with it. Im just disappointed it didnt come with the memory card that it said it included. It even hard a "free gift" flyer in ther package starting it included it.... it wasn't there. But the product works well... ther motion senser it's a little finicky but that's nothing that effects the products usefulness.

Worthless!
I can NOT give a thorough or proper review of this product because it would NOT even turn on. First of all, when plugging the charger into the clock, it was very hard as if it did not want to go in. However, I did get it to go in eventually, but once I did and I pressed the Power button (which was odd because typically alarms and clocks turn on automatically when power is received). I got nothing, no lights, no sounds, no anything. So I thought maybe it was the cord for whatever unknown reason, so I put batteries into it and tried to get it to turn on with batteries, but to no avail, it did not work. I also tried turning it on with the power cord plugged in, and the batteries both but that did not work either.Second of all, I tried to contact the company directly with the given "help" website, but it did not take me to a site or anyone that could help me.Third of all, on a side note: how is it a "hidden spy cam" when the micro-sd card slot is on the top of the clock and is visible. It is not a hidden camera because of this design fail.Fourth of all, I give this product a "0" rating, I absolutely will not repurchase it, nor will I buy from the company for any product.Lastly, on top of it all, I will have to wait additional subsequent time to receive a new clock after returning this and waiting for more delivery times.Best Wishes,Extremely dissatisfied customer

Needed to Keep an Eye on Things
I took a chance and purchased this spycam because its sleek design caught my attention. I have been using it for a few days now. It does what it says with a surprisingly good image quality. Setting it up was a bit confusing at first, but I found a QR Code inside that points to a setup video on YouTube. I was trying to connect to 5ghz Wi-Fi without success. However, I saw in the video that it doesn't support 5g during setup. I thought was a little weird. After I connected my phone over to 2.4g Wi-Fi, setting it up was quick and had everything running.Pros: Easy to setup; good image quality (even at night); sleek design; and nice surprise of free 64gb SD-card by mailCons: Doesn't include batteries (though I don't plan on taking this outside). Overall a good product!

Nice hidden camera
Good quality picture. Nice to have a hidden camera with audio. Only negative is will spontaneously disconnect in the middle of the night. I have to turn the camera off so it doesn’t wake up my child.

Discrete Camera that also actually works as a clock
This unit works very well. The night vision is superb. The video quality is a little diminished due to the smoked front glass. I tested this by removing the camera from the case and gave a much better picture. This is an alright compromise as the glass somewhat hides the true contents of this clock. I high recommend this if it fits your needs. I did not know this prior to purchase but for running on battery it requires two 18650 batteries. This may be odd but you can charge them in the clock and this large of batteries makes the runtime very long between charges. Batteries are not required if you wish to run off the included cable and wall adapter. The voice prompts are quite loud but can be disabled in the phone app.
