I am very pleased with the Samsung A41 that was replacing a 2016 also from Samsung, that was running out of memory.I should not have the same problem with the A41, as it has 64GB of storage. It does not have the metal chassis and glass back that my old phone had, but this does not detract from the larger screen and the weight remains about the same.The operating system on delivery was Android 10, however, that updated to version 11 after a few days.I have taken a few photos and videos, and the results are excellent.It handles accessing the internet, and watching videos without any issues, and has a bright and vivid display. For the price, is great value for money.

A great budget alternative to top-of-the-line smartphones and it looks good! Has all the functionality we'd want to use regularly including compass (often omitted from budget phones) so works well as a sat nav, sky map etc. It's slim, quite light and not too large for smaller hands. Bought this for my wife but have to admit it feels good in the hand compared to my larger, siilarly priced, Poco mobile.

I bought this phone in May 2020 for £269, as a replacement for my (very) old Sony Xperia Z3. I use it as an everyday phone. Now that I’ve had it a couple months, here is my initial summary review.Contents: see pic. Box with phone, charging cord (80cm from plug to phone, 75cm if excluding plug part), headphones, setup guide, warranty pamphlet, pin (to open SD/sim card drawer)Features: 2 sim card slots, 1 micro SD slot, 3.5mm jack, charging slot.Body: Attractive plastic backing, looks nice and feels sturdy.Size: Nice size, sleek and relatively compact, unlike many phones nowadays, which are increasingly large and hard to handle. I’m female and it fits comfortably in my hand and I have no problems reaching across the screen, although I do need to adjust my grip to reach the far left-hand side. However, the placement of the ‘recently used apps’ button means it is not easily reached when holding in the right hand, which is annoying.Screen: Large, spanning the whole phone size (nice body: screen ratio). Really vibrant colours. Excellent definition. Clear display even in sunny/bright conditions. Great responsiveness. One of my favourite features!Camera: Both cameras (front & back) take clear, HD photos in a range of lighting, incl. low lighting (though obviously the more light, the better the quality). Good auto-focus. Lovely panoramas. Quality selfies, too. Both cameras also offer burst shots, and wide angle shots. I have attached a few pics taken on the main (non-selfie) camera of the phone (the flowers and beach, all in daytime, and the sheep at night in low light) for an idea of the quality. One of the reasons I picked this phone and I have not been disappointed!Speed: Quick to open apps, and runs them smoothly, without lag etc. However, I don’t use this phone for gaming so cannot comment on the efficiency there.Storage: At 64GB, there’s enough storage for all the apps you need for everyday use, with plenty spare. I have downloaded all the apps I want, about 10, and still have 40GB left. One of the reasons I bought the phone and I’m very happy with it.Speakers: Expected quality for a phone when playing music out loud. Not as tinny as my previous phone and it does get quite loud but it’s not designed to be a speaker. It functions well playing music if needed, and is fine for videos but I wouldn’t rely on it if I wanted to play music out loud in the house for a prolonged period.Battery: Will last all day, even with continual use on and off throughout.Headphones: Nice quality. Produce good sound, and actually stay in my ears, unlike most in-ear headphones.Downsides: Seemingly no waterproofing. The pin and pattern options on the lock screen have small digits/dots so it’s easy to press the wrong ones, which gets annoying when you have to repeatedly re-enter them. Being a narrow screen, the keyboard in portrait mode has quite small keys, which makes it easy to press the wrong ones and I often have to re-type letters. (Note that the drag option for typing is an alternative.) Also, as mentioned, reaching the ‘recently used apps’ button (far left at the bottom of the screen) is quite awkward when using with just one hand.Other stuff: I use this phone with a case and tempered glass screen protector for added protection.Overall, it makes for a decent phone for everyday use and has a lovely camera, great screen quality and generally good speed/storage/battery. However, the screen proportions are annoying at times, with small keys and yet the same challenge of a large phone of reaching all the way across single-handed. But I am generally pleased with my purchase, especially at the price!

I am really pleased with this phone and the price was good. I am not a gamer but I use the phone for banking, email and messaging, music streaming and also to run a golf tracking app. All work very well with great performance. My O2 Simm slotted and was up and running immediately. Size and form are good and the fingerprint ID works really well. Very Happy.

Love it always buy Samsung and this doesn't disappoint. Did freeze on the 2nd week but did a hard reset and it's been excellent since. Loads of memory and battery life is brilliant. And the swap from my old phone took about 7 minutes so all files photos numbers were there no faffing about.

Love it. Screen a bit slow when touched. Pic perfect feels strong and very easy to use. Fits perfect in my hand and I have small hands

Very impressed with overall quality and performance. Very easy to transfer data from old mobile. Good screen, size and light to handle. Camera exceptionally good.Delivery was very fast.

I was really impressed with this for the price.and added an s view case and my wife was delighted, perfect size , great screen and more than quick enough for daily use. Easy to setup WiFi calling on EE.BUT the above points were whilst we were in lockdown - now going out and about I find the phone will not reconnect to mobile data when we leave the house wifi - the only way is to reboot the phone and if you forget to do that you miss all manner of whatsapp etc messages.I've tried wiping the cache, resetting network settings, full factory reset, turning off calling via lte and calling via wifi.It just loses the data signal and doesn't come back - have tried 2 EE sims and a three sim and it's the same. Hav even swapped the sim cards from slot 1 to slot 2...I googled "Samsung loses mobile data connection" - and there are literally hundreds of posts about similar problems on galaxy handsets - which isn't a real issue as Samsung ships millions every year - so just presume we got a bad one.So after a week I'll be requested a refund.
